Tara turned around and then groaned. It was Benny. "Hi Benny," she sighed.
"Four years and you've," he paused, thinking of the right words to say, "blossomed!"
"Benny, who's this?" A man asked out of the three that followed Benny into Belle's.
"Yeah, Benny, who's that?" Tara pointed.
"Introduce yourselves, you're not preschoolers," Benny stepped out of the way.
"I'm James," the man reached out his hand.
"Tara," she shook his hand.
"Scott," he reached out his hand and once she placed her hand in his, he brought it to his lips and kissed his fingers, "charmed to meet you."
"Kelson, now don't expect anything fancy." He shook her hand.
"I never do," Tara smiled bitterly. "Now excuse me, I need food and to get home. I bet Lindsey's waiting for me."
"Liar," Benny laughed, "you're trying to avoid me. I also bet Belle would love to see you."
Tara merely nodded before going to the cash register and ordering. The lady there looked up and with a smile on her face greeted Tara with "HEY BELLE! TARA'S BACK!"
Belle ran into the room from the kitchen and hugged Tara so tight, she couldn't breathe.
"Now you can't go off and give me a scare like that again! I thought you were dead! The way your bracelet stopped the other man's, poor James, thought you were dead. Shame on you!" Belle exclaimed.
"What about me?" James looked up.
"Oh, Honey, your sweetheart ain't dead!" Belle exclaimed.
"This is on the house!" The cashier yelled around the restaurant as Tara ducked her head, blushing violently and trying to hide her face.
"So when's the wedding, Sweetheart?" An old man nearby asked.
"SHUT UP!" Tara screamed. "That man is not my soulmate and I'm buying my food!" She yelled in the silent Café.
"I didn't even propose!" James yelled too. Tara looked on this man with a new sight. Maybe he was but she could wait, she didn't care. She was here strictly on family business and that was it.
Once Tara got her food, she walked out. Nobody dared to go after her besides James and Kelson.
"Aren't you Tasha's sister?" Kelson asked.
"What does this have to do with me?" Tara asked.
"Tasha is getting married to Scott who's grumpy today. But he invited me to the wedding," Kelson said.
"Dude, trust me, it's not worth your time and I'm a female! My sister is frustrating the living daylights out of me and I want to go back to Michigan." Tara whined.
"I'm sorry, okay," James butted in.
"About what?" Tara snapped.
"I didn't know," James stared shamefully at his feet. Tara felt guilty.
"Listen," she put her hand on his shoulder, "it's not your fault. I'm just exhausted and easily ticked off."
"I didn't know Belle would do that," James sniffled.
"Belle is a hopeless romantic, you didn't even know I existed until now." Tara nodded, "I have seriously got to go. Take my number and call me later."
"Okay, what is it?" James asked and wrote it down when she told him.
