THE HOUSE ON THE HILL

        Rena arrived at home around seven that evening which only left her with an hour to get ready.
She took a bath and dressed in a black dress with a high split, her black stilettos and silver earrings with a little makeup.
At exact 8pm there was a knock on the door.
Rena opened it "hello"
Alex stood staring at her " you are beautiful"
Rena smiled "thank u" she said
"You ready to go "Alex replied
" Yes" she turned and locked the door and left.
         It took about 20 mins to reach the restaurant by the beach "BELLE".
They were ushered in immediately and seated on the balcony.
When they were settled Rena replied "So I guess you are a regular here"
Alex smiled "Not exactly I own the place"
Rena looked at him and replied "what do u do exactly cause I don't hang with drug dealers"
Alex smiled " I am an entrepreneur I kind of do a little of everything "
"A little of everything like what" Rena replied
"I remodel old houses, buy restaurants anything which catches my fancy actually, right now I am looking to acquire some land on which I plan to build a school"
Rena relaxed somewhat.
"You know you really need to lighten up, stop being suspicious of everything I do" Rena smiled and picked up her menu.
         She ordered a salmon dinner while Alex chose steak instead, halfway through the dinner Alex replied "Is there anything u would like to know specifically about me"
Rena placed the fork down and in her mind all kinds of questions began to take form but one of them stood out the most "what does this guy really see in me" before she could mouth these words the waiter appeared with an envelope on a tray "Excuse me but this just came for you"
Rena took the envelope from him and opened it.
The envelope read "THINKING OF YOU"
Rena closed the envelope and sat staring at Alex who dropped his fork on his plate "what"
"Did u send me this with this message"
Alex took the envelope and read it "No, I only sent you one note like that, it would seem u have a secret admirer, one which I don't know of".
Alex smiled but Rena couldn't because this only let her know she had a stalker and she didn't like it.
" I think I should leave" and moved to get up from the table but Alex grabbed her hand " what is the matter"
"Look Alex I don't mean to spoil the dinner"
"Then don't cause I really want to have a nice time with u this evening"
Rena looked at Alex and saw how much he really wanted this time with her so she sat back down "okay now that you are seated, we need to figure out who might be sending you a note like that, besides me of course"
"To tell the truth I really don't know" Rena replied
"Look you know what let us just forget about that and enjoy the rest of the dinner"
With that they both resigned to talk only of the pending relationship.
They finished dinner about 11 that night and it took them 45mins to reach Rena's house "Thank you that was a nice dinner, I enjoyed your company" and turned to go inside but Alex grabbed her and kissed her Rena was shocked by the suddenness of the action and could do nothing but stand there and wait until he was finished, she honestly hoped it was soon cause this kiss was totally her undoing.
           Five mins had passed and gone and Alex released Rena "You know in the future I am expecting a little return emotion as well to even though I loved catching u off guard "
Rena just stared at Alex thinking, was this man for real how could he have expected me to react when he suddenly attacked me "Alex, I think we are moving too fast " Rena replied
Alex lifted his hand and placed it on her cheek "Relax, I have only kissed u, I have no intention of going any further than this I know you aren't ready for that, so stop worrying" Rena smiled and before she knew what she was doing her lips were touching his as well "don't worry, I enjoyed dinner and I must say the dessert as well"
        Before Alex could reply to the statement she said a quick goodbye and went inside, leaving Alex on the step to ponder.
