Rena decided to celebrate Nathan's special day.
She invited some of his playmates from nursery.
She prepared snacks,drinks and an assortment of goodies for the kids.
The day was moving swiftly,everyone was having fun.
It was about time to cut the cake when there was a knock on the door,rena walked over to the door and opened it.
"What are you doing here?"
"I am here to wish my son a happy birthday what kind of father would I be if I didn't come see him on his special day"
"Ian now is not the time to start something"
"Oh please"
Ian pushed the door and walked in "hi, everyone"
All the guests turned at the same time,just then Nathan waddled over to him and raised his hands "da da" he replied
Ian looked down lifted Nathan into his arms "hello, son"
Rena, alex and the guests stood in shock.
"Why is everyone looking at me,have you never seen a man lift his child before"
The guests began to whisper.
"Ian I need to see you in the kitchen everyone continue having fun"
The guests went back to what they were doing and alex,ian and Rena walked off.
They got to the kitchen "Rena,what is the meaning of this"
Rena looked at Alex "I am just as surprised as you"
Ian replied "why are you surprised, Nathan is my son is he not, he is supposed to call me dad"
"I wasn't aware he even knew you"
"Well,surprise,surprise"
Just then the head lady of the nursery walked in "how are you Rena?"
"Elena can you explain this to me"
"Explain what?"
"Do you know this man?"
Rena pointed to Ian.
"Yes, I do,he visits the nursery often and spends time.e with Nathan"
"Is there a problem?"
Rena looked at Alex,pissed was a mild word for how alex looked.
Elena looked at them all "isn't he supposed to see nathan, he said he is the child's father"
Ian looked at Rena, the look he gave Rena was a daring one, all he wanted her to do was deny it he was on the warpath already all he needed now was for her to add fuel to the fire.
"Yes, he is the father of Nathan"
Alex walked out.
Ian smiled and Elena replied "I think I better get back to the party" and left.
Rena turned to Ian.
"What are you trying to do?, Are you trying to ruin the party?"
Ian walked towards her and reached out to touch her but she moved away "rena, I told you,nathan is my blood and I will not be kept out of his life"
" Give me my son"
"Correction our son"
Ian handed Nathan to her.
"When I get back I expect you to be gone"
This statement angered ian,he walked over to her "I will not be kept away from my son is you refuse to let me see him, I will make you regret it"
"Really, well do your best"
Rena left and Ian left the party.
