THE HOUSE ON THE HILL

IAN

Five days had passed and Rena couldn't have been more ecstatic.
After the discussion with Alex and her shock of it all Rena knew within herself that she could never be happier, Alex was no longer the young unruly boy he had been he was now a gentle, loving and caring man and with time she was sure his cousin would see that as well.
Suddenly her phone rang "hello is this Rena?"
Rena did not recognize the voice on the line.
"Who is this and how were U able to get pass my secretary"
"My name is Ian Demir "
Rena was shocked why was this man calling her.
"What do you want?"
"I can see Alex filled u in, however I have a proposition for you"
"Hmm, now why would you think that I want to do business with you"
"Business, dont make me laugh, it is more like a date"
Rena could not believe the audacity of this man.
"Listen here, I am not interested, I will not be used as a pawn in your game between your cousin and yourself count me out "
"Fiesty I like, but on the real, I just want to let you know my side of the story"
In the back of her mind she wondered if she should accept his offer she was actually curious as to why this man was interested in talking to her about anything, she decided to take him upbon his offer "Fine, I will come, I will listen to your proposal"
"Good that is what I want to hear,later"
He hung up.
Rena could not help but feel she just made a deal with the devil.

Intermission

The rest of Rena's day went well.
About 5pm Rena left the office and drove to Blaze Restaurant.
She was seated in a corner table overlooking the city, Rena was so lost admiring the view that she didn't notice Ian standing next to her till he reached out and touched her cheek "you are beautiful"
Rena looked at him angrily.
"Why did you touch me?"
"Sorry I couldn't help myself now I know why Alex wants you"
"Why did you invite me here?"
Ian took a seat, "I wanted to see you in person"
Ian reached across the table and grabbed her hand.
"I love you"
Rena laughed out loudly, it surprised the other occupants of the restaurant "I'm sorry, but you are very amusing"
Ian looked at her " I love your laugh, you might think this is a joke but I am serious"
Rena shook her head "you don't love me, I have had enough of your jokes,I am going"
Rena stood up from the chair and walked past him, Ian grabbed her hand.
"Don't go please"
Rena looked into his eyes and felt for him so she sat back down, for the rest of the night they talked and got to know one another better.

Intermission

Later that night ian took her home, made sure she got inside safely and drove off, Rena was dog tired she climbed the stairs,opened her bedroom door and came face to face with Alex.
"How was the date?"
Rena looked at Alex "what date?"
"Don't play games with me,if I am not mistaken a car dropped you off and I know that isn't the color of your car and the license plate matches my cousin's, what were you doing with him?"
The look Alex was giving her made her take a step back "CALM DOWN Alex, if wasn't anything he only wanted to talk,please"
"I know him he wants you,he can't have you, you are mine"
Alex walked out the door,got in his car and left.
Rena Sat on her bed thinking about what transpired and how she was gonna handle this situation.
