Within the hour Alex and Rena reached home.
They opened the door and went inside and sat on the sofa.
Rena turned to Alex.
"What is going on here, why am I being threatened?"
Alex wondered if he should let her in on the truth, but could be trust her, he knew he cared about her deeply but getting her involved would only cause her grief and put her in even more danger, he looked at her and knew he wanted this woman, somewhere down inside he knew if he wanted to be with her he had to tell her the truth.
"Rena my name is Alex Demir, I am the C.E.O of Demir Conglomerate"
Rena's mouth dropped open in shock, this was a surprise, she had a feeling he was the head of some company just not one as massive as that.
"Okay, now what does that have to do with me receiving these threatening notes"
Alex looked at her.
" I believe these notes are from my cousin Ian, he has been doing this to every woman I've gotten involved with"
Rena stared at Alex.
"What could you have done to him that he would want to chase away any woman you take interest in"
Alex got up from the sofa "well it started from the time we were little we were always in competition with each other about everything but it all came to a big commotion in college there was a girl we both liked named Elena, he was so smitten with her, back then I was really wild, I felt everything was owned by me I didn't care about no one not even my cousin, Elena and Ian started dating they were so in love, of course that didn't deter me, I should have listened to the little voice in the back of my head but I chose not to, I got her drunk that night and took what I wanted, Ian caught us she tried to apologize but he wouldn't listen he walked out and never looked back"
Rena could not believe what she was hearing "how could U Alex, she was your cousin's fiancée"
"I know, and I regret what I did, over the years I tried to make amends but Ian is stuck on the warpath"
Rena walked towards him " it is OK, I am not going anywhere "
Rena hugged Alex "Let's got to bed".
