Loneliness

For the next couple of months Rena was so miserable,she barked at her employees and some even became scared to approach her door.
   The same could be said for alex who drank like a fish and couldn't concentrate much on his work.
      At night when Rena put Nathan to bed he would cry and roll around in his playpen and Rena knew it was because he missed Alex's presence as much as she did.
   This however did not stop alex from trying to win her back he sent notes everyday and called as well,most often than not Rena told the Secretary to get rid of the notes and tell alex she was in a meeting when he called.
   Mentally and emotionally Rena was in A mess,she just missed alex terribly.
   On Thursday she had an appointment to see her doctor.
Dr.Bradshaw examined her,told her everything was fine and to get dressed and meet him in his office, Rena did as was instructed.
"Rena,i will be honest with you physically you are okay but emotionally you are a wreck"
"What is going on?"
"Like what doctor?"
Dr Bradshaw smiled " I ha CD known you since you became pregnant with Nathan and the only time you have looked like this was when you and alex were going through a rough patch"
Rena could hold it in no longer "It is over between us"
"Why?"
Rena just shook her head.
"Okay, if you don't want to talk here,how about we go out for dinner"
"Fine doctor"
"Pick you up at 8pm"
"That is fine" Rena replied and left.
               Intermission
Eight on the dot,Rohan arrived.
Rena was ready, she opened her door and walked out "wow,rena you look gorgeous"
Rena did not know how to reply so she simply smiled "thanks"
Rohan opened the door and Rena got in,when she was settled Rohan replied "there is no need to be uptight,relax"
  Rohan put the car in reverse and drove off.
It took Rohan an hour to arrive at the restaurant.
When they were settled and eating their dinner Rohan replied "are you going to tell me what happened between you too?"
        Rena put her fork down  "things haven't been going so well for us in the sex area because of the baby we haven't gotten a chance to have sex,if I am tired he is not,and I don't want to I simply want to sleep it has just been chaotic, I know I should make time,he is a man after all he can only handle  so much before he trips,i decided to visit him at the office, I had it all planned only to push the door and find alex cock deep inside some whore I was devastated,i told him we were done and left the office, I went home and went ballistic I started taking his things out and putting them in a bag,he came over got down on his knees,he cried told me he loved me but I couldn't believe him, he left after a while,since then he has been calling and sending notes to the office however I have just been ignoring them"
Rohan looked at Rena"wow, he's lucky you didn't set his clothes on fire"
"Trust me I wanted to so bad, the woman in me wanted to hurt him but I restrained myself,god knows I put my all into this relationship"
         Rohan reached across the table and grabbed her hand " I want to ask u something"
Rena wondered what Rohan could want to ask  " I know I have only known you for a while, but in that time my feelings for you have grown, I like you rena,can you give me a chance"
Rena looked at Rohan she couldn't believe that her doctor would be interested in her,she thought for a little "okay,i will give you a chance"
"Want to seal it with a kiss"
  Rohan reached across the table and before his lips touched hers he was pulled from the table and pushed to the ground "what the hell are you doing alex?"
Rena rushed over to help Rohan up.
"What am I doing, that is the question I should be asking you, you should be home with Nathan"
By that time Rohan had risen to his full height.
"I am on a date"
"With who?"
"Rohan"
  Alex laughed loudly "you must be joking"
Rohan took the chance to slip his hand around Rena's waist, alex noticed that move.
"Dr.Bradshaw if you know what is good for you, you will remove that hand"
"Alex, are you drunk?"
  Rohan removed his hand "listen, you had your chance and you ruined it, I have mine and I won't,come on Rena let's go"
  Rohan grabbed Rena's hand lightly and started to exit the restaurant but alex grabbed Rena's waist "you aren't going anywhere with him"
  Rena looked into Alex's eyes, she reached out her hand and touched his face "alex, let me go,stop embarrassing yourself, have some pride"
"Rena you don't understand you are what I need, without you this is what I have become"
" Alex it is over,i am moving on"
Rena stepped out of his embrace, grabbed Rohan's hand and walked away.
                    Intermission
It took Rena and Rohan about an hour to reach her apartment.
Rena invited Rohan in for a coffee, they sat on the sofa "well, that dinner,was eventful" Rohan replied.
"It was, alex ruined it as usual"
Rena let out a sigh.
Rohan could tell this night was hard for Rena and she needed to rest, he stood up " I think I should leave,you need some rest"
" Dont leave you can stay the night"
  Rohan knew if he stayed, he would touch her and he didn't want their relationship to proceed so fast so he replied " I don't think that is a good idea, we'll talk tomorrow" he kissed her and left, Rena retired to bed.
