Chapter 22

I morphed back into myself and looked over at Carflo.
'What do we do?"
Carflo quickly reached over and grabbed ahold of my arm.
"This was."
Carflo whispered as he pulled me up the stairs. We made it to the balcony and morphed into bats and sat on the edge of the railing.
'Wait for my signal and then follow my lead. We only have one chance at this.'
I looked ahead to see them coming our way. Chris and Kaili were talking about something and laughing, while Cyanide was still by the pins and messing with the mammoth.
'3...'
Chris and Kaili were almost to the door.
'2...'
They opened the door and started inside.
'1...go!!!'
I took off after Carflo as he flew extremely fast toward Cyanide.
'Get ready to turn into Cyanide when I say so.'
He said as we got closer to Cyanide, Carflo morphed into himself midair and used the force of the fall to tackle Cyanide to the ground. Cyanide, who was obviously shocked, laid there as Carflo held a knife to his throat.
"Say a word and I'll split your Adam's apple."
He took the knife and quickly hit the hilt across Cyanides temples, thus knocking him unconscious. As Carflo quickly dragged Cyanide around the corner of a pin, he pulled Cyanides bag off and placed it on the ground.
"Your turn."
I morphed and grabbed the bag.
"I'll be back soon. I'll keep them distracted while you go and take our friend here to someplace nice."
I said pulling the bag over my shoulder. Carflo smiled and began dragging Cyanide away and I turned to head to the house.
"And hey..."
I looked back.
"You stay safe. We're a team, remember?"
I smiled and started to walk away.
"I will."

(Cyanide's P.o.V)
Bet you didn't see that coming...

'Ugh, my head...' I winced as I sat up. Looking around, I remembered what had happened.
"Good evening! Did you have a nice nap?"
My eyes landed on Carflo, who sat in a chair across from me. I lunged toward him only to collide with and invisible surface.
"Aww... Is someone aggravated? Nice try tho..."
Carflo said as he stood up and placed his hands on the surface.
"This stuff is nearly unbreakable, you'd need at least a truck to break it."
I stared at him and frowned.
"What do you want?"
He smiled.
"Who said I wanted anything? Valerie and I were just looking for some fun."
I punched the glass.
"You won't get away with this, Chris and Kaili will come looking for me!!!"
He turned on his heels and went and sat in his chair.
"Oh I know they will, but that'll be awhile. Valerie out having her fun and all we have to do is wait till later tonight. So, you should probably go back to sleep, it'll be awhile."
{several hours later}
"Cyanide...wake up..."
A familiar voice said as they tapped on the glass. I opened my eyes to see Carflo there.
"What do you want?"
I said sitting up. Carflo smiled and looked to his toward something I couldn't see.
"I just thought you'd want to meet the new member of our team..."
He waved for someone to come over and my heart dropped when I saw the person standing beside Carflo.
"B-but why? Chris..."
Chris smiled.
"Because I can, do I have to have a reason to join the winning team. Beside, you guys were getting on my nerves."
I looked away and shook my head.
"Still, why join them? I thought we were friends!"
Chris started laughing and looked the Carflo, who started laughing as well.
"I'm sorry I can't help it! His face is just priceless!"
Suddenly Chris's features began to change as where Chris once stood now stood Valerie. I just sat there dumbfounded while they laughed.
"You should have seen you face!!! You were looked like you were on the verge of tears!"
Valerie laughed as she looked down at me. She looked down at a watch on her arm.
"Oh, I got to go. My watch is almost over."
She hugged Carflo and morphed into a very familiar and handsome man... Me.
"I'll see you guys later."
I sat there and watched myself walk away. I just sat there silently. Carflo leaned against the glass and stared at me.
"Bruh, you look like you've seen a ghost...."
