Chapter 14

{??? P.o.V}

I sat in the helicopters passanger side as we flew over the beautiful island.  I'd gotten a phone call this morning from headquarters saying Cyanide required some assistance because of some locals. Looking over to the pilot who said nothing the entire way here.
"Are we almost there?"
"Yeah, go ahead and get your parachute on, I'm not gonna be able to land."
I unbuckled and made my way to the back, where I slipped into my parachute and made sure my stuff was secure in the drop box along with the other supplies.
"Alright, get ready to jump!"
The pilot yelled from the cockpit. I made sure the straps were fastened tightly and took a deep breath.
"Go!"
I pulled the cord on the drop box and shoved it out. I then followed it out the side. The wind blew my brown hair in my face as the ground approached rapidly. I pulled the cord of my parachute and soared on the wind until I touched down on the soft green grass where Cyanide was waiting with a smile.
He caught the drop box as it floated down beside me and helped me get inside.
"You have no idea how glad I am that you came Kaili. I pretty much have a plan for saving Chris but I'm gonna need your help."
Cyaanide said handing me my bag from the box. Digging through the bag, I pulled out my jacket and pulled I over my head. I then grabbed my bow and quiver if arrows and slung them over my shoulder.
"Just tell me what we're up against here."
He told me all about the two causing trouble.
"There's a village North of here where Chris is being held. His captors, Valerie and Carflo, are shapeshiffers."
"Shapesiffters? I thought they were just a myth. Urban legend."
He shook his head.
"Believe me, I've seen Valerie turn into a bat right before my eyes and fly away. Anywho, since we've gotten here, we've started resserecting dinosaurs and so have they. They've seemed to hatched a bunch of Veloceraptor and are using them for guard dogs."
The thought of fighting dinosaurs sounds kinda scary but awesome at the same time.
"So have you though about how we're getting inside the village?"
He sighed and shook his head. I smiled and pulled the drop box over to us.
"Well, I did these." 
I held up two jetpacks. He smiled and took one from me.
"Man, it's been awhile since I used one of these."
I smiled.
"How about you go in on the ground, while I cover you from the air. That way I can kill any of the Veloceraptor from above and give you a clear path to Chris."
Cyanide thought it over and we decided on my plan, which we'd use tomorrow night so I'd have time to settle in and get rested up.
Tomorrow we'd get Chris back no matter what...
