"Knowing that I'm going to be gone for awhile, and not being able to stay by your side, even just for a little while, I still selfishly want you." Kwon Jiyong says truthfully. "I need to know if you're going to be with me, knowing all of this?"
Shocked from what he said, Nabi stood there with wide eyes. "You want to be with me?" Nabi asked. "But why? I'm so weird."
Kwon Jiyong chuckled. "You're cute and sweet. You also slapped me. You caused some internal war the day I met you. I never understood why you didn't like me. Being in a relationship on false terms is crazy, yes but your face showed how much you disliked me. You drove me crazy the day I met you, literally."
Nabi shook her head. "I didn't know that's how you took it. I didn't even know who you were back then but my uncle put me in an uncomfortable situation. I wasn't disgusted with you, I was disgusted with the idea of fake dating anyone. It had nothing to do with you. To be honest I didn't really see who it was since I was being dramatic and crying." She smiled. "Are you sure you want to do this? It's only been two months and you know nothing about me. I also know nothing about you."
Kwon Jiyong nodded. "You're right. We don't know each other well. I do know that there is something here. Something between us. Out of all the girls I've dated...." Nabi gave him a deadpan look which caused him to change up his words. "Out of all the people I've met, I've never felt this odd connection with someone."
"I don't know what you want me to do." Nabi says confused.
"I want you to be patient with me. While I'm busy, I want to know that you're waiting for me." Kwon Jiyong sighs. "Nobody was able to wait for me. None of them cared enough to stay. To me these were just flings because nobody was able to handle my busy schedule. None of them understood."
"So you want me to understand?" Nabi asks. "You want me to understand that you're going to be busy and knowing that you selfishly want me to be with you so that when you comeback, you have something to comeback to. You won't text me, call me, visit me, or anything because of work. Is that right?"
"When you put it that way, you make me sound like a douche." Kwon Jiyong says.
Nabi sighs. "Are you willing to give up your career for me?" She asks seriously.
Kwon Jiyong's hands dropped from her cheeks and he took a step, backing away from her. He was starting to think Nabi is crazier than he thought. From the glint in her eyes, he could tell she was being serious. To give up his own career for a girl he's been dating for two months, not to mention the fact that it's fake, it sounded way too crazy to him. He knew with his heart that he could never give up his career as a musician, an artist, a composer and a producer. He just couldn't but then Nabi smiled.
"Of course you can't give up your career for me. I don't expect you to." She smiles, now placing both of her hands over his surprisingly impressive jaw line and rubbed his skin with her thumbs. "I know dating isn't easy for idols. Especially since you're working on your comeback." She sighs. "So let's not date."
"But..."
"Like I said, we don't know each other well since it's only been two months." Nabi smiles.
"Trust me, I know it's weird. It's weird for me too." Kwon Jiyong smiles, running his hand through her hair.
"Let's get to know each other first. Let's set some rules. Let's not jump into it too fast. Let's take it slow." She suggested. "Let's get in the car and turn up the heater because I'm freezing." She quickly added.
Kwon Jiyong nodded, walking Nabi to the other side of the car for her to get in. As Nabi got in, he quickly jogged over to the driver's side. She kept rushing him to start the car and crank up the heater. Her fingers felt like eskemos ice fishing in Alaska while watching Frozen. Even her face was numb.
