7 years old "Son when you get older you will own this whip that will keep these disgusting niggers in there place!" He says to the seven year old boy showing him the leather whip that was used to punish many of the slaves that was on the plantation men,women,and kids. He says smiling at his father who slapped him straight across the face causing a loud smacking sound to vibrate through out the house. 11 years old Today Liam was meeting up with his best friend Y/n who was way to innocent for her own good. They always met up behind the old oak tree were the carved there names in it. "Y/n!" He says hugging the shorter girl with all his might kissing her cheek softly. "Liam you have to keep your voice down! "Sorry love so I bought us some books for reading and paper to work on your writing because well it isn't as good as your reading. So here start writing the alphabet and when your done tell me!" Liam says smiling in the dark a candle seeing it is there only light source. 5 minutes passed when Y/n finished and she handed the paper to Liam who smiled kissing her cheek once more. "Great job Y/n! Now read out loud to me a paragraph then we will be done so we can talk about our day!" Y/n read the paragraph out loud fast not missing a single word seeing they have been doing this for 3 months. "Y/n you go first!" He says laying down looking at the dark sky filled with stars. "Today your dad smacked me for not coming to his room fast enough then he took my dress off." "What..." Liam sat up tears filling in his eyes as he though of Y/n getting hurt she was only 9 years old. "Yeah he touched me all over my body but he told me not to tell anyone...dang it it just told you damn it Y/n!" She says covering her mouth with her small brown hands. 15 years old Tears fell from his eyes as he held the whip about to strike the love his life Y/n. "Do it!" His father screamed frustrated that his son hasn't hit the nigger yet. Liam said dropping the whip running to the post trying to untie the naked Y/n from it but was stopped because he was speared by his father's best friend Yaser. "Since you don't want to do it I will!" "Be ready tomorrow" He whispers into her ear waiting for the two words he been hearing since she was nine. "Yes daddy" he smiled leaving the field ignoring the curse words Liam spewed at him. Liam carefully got her from the ground taking her to the slave quarters where she was treated for her bleeding wounds. Liam held her hand whispering apology after apology for what happened to her. "Li-ah! Lili it's okay I forgive you it isn't your fault" she says hissing as Marnia put medicine on her back then wrapping it up. "I love you" "I love you too." That was their first I love you that was said to one another.
20 years old Liam and Y/n had traveled from Georgia all the way to Pennsylvania after the beating she had took. It's five years later and it's great they already have two kids both boys and are now expecting a little girl. They sat around the fire telling their story of how they had been together thought there trials and tribulations.
