"So, I hear you have a twin sister. Is she as hot as you or even hotter? Nah... you guys must be the same, right?" Ross asked, taking a big bite of his sandwich.
"Ross, man. Just shut up please. You have said enough," Jared looked pissed off now.
"What? Just a harmless question. You butt out of this," He said defensively.
"Yes. She is hotter than me," I said.
Oh wait. I was supposed to be the hotter one right now.
"I beg to differ," Naomi chimed in.
"Exactly. She might be hotter than you, but you are more beauti-," Jared stopped.
Oh god. The whole gang was staring at Jared as if he had said he had kissed a mermaid. Elliot and Levi grinned while Ross and Kyle raised their eyebrows and looked back and forth between Jared and me.
Jared realized and blushed deep red, "I-I m-mean..."
"How can you say that without seeing her ever?" I asked, ignoring the naughty smiles everyone was giving us.
"No, but-"
"Do you have a picture of hers? Show us how she looks." Levi said, "We can decide right now."
"Yeah, lets see who is hotter and who is more beautiful," Elliot said.
Reluctantly, I pulled out my phone and scrolled through the pictures. There were few pictures of us from freshman year. Till that time we both had glasses and braces. There was one picture of us where I had clicked of us staring at the camera with arms around each other and grinning.
I passed it. Lets pray Jared does not understand anything.
"Woah! Jared man, she wasn't kidding. They are exactly identical. Full mirror image," Kyle said, staring at the picture wide eyed.
Everyone looked at it and then Jared took it. My heart stopped for a second. He won't know, right? He can't know yet. I would tell him later, just not right now.
He looked at the picture and raised his eyebrows.
"Holy fu- you guys look the same," He said, examining it,"Of course you are identical twins, I know but this is... woah. Seriously."
I gave a nervous glance at Naomi and took the phone away.
"Could you recognise Alice, Jared?" Ross asked him smugly.
"Um..." Jared again took my phone before I could protest. He looked at the image intently, analysing it.
Please don't find out the truth. Not yet.
"Alice is the right one," He finally said, "I am sure."
Shucks... he was right. That was me.
The boys looked at me for confirmation. I nodded, giving the fakest smile I could muster.
"How did you do it?" I asked a victorious looking Jared.
"Guess work," Levi said.
"Sheer luck," Elliot chimed.
"Absolutely not. If you guys look carefully, Alice's face is slightly rounder and her eyes are softer." Jared said, pointing towards the picture, "Allison's face is longer and sharper."
Naomi stopped eating her sandwich while Ross spitted out his coke.
"You sure you ain't a detective?" Elliot asked stupidly.
"No, idiot. Its called observational skills," Jared rolled his eyes, "Look carefully and you will understand too."
"Stalker," Ross coughed but nobody heard him besides me. I gave him a look before ignoring.
