I got some files in a folder in my knee. Just a minute ago I opened it and started to read about Peyton, still I haven't finished it but most of it is done.

One thing I find really weird is that Cal, Theo, Peyton and Jessie never got caught. Jennifer told the cops the entire story but I guess the evidence wasn't enough. The shadows always makes the evidence disappear, no matter the situation.

"Okay so Peyton, nineteen, live with her parents just a couple of blocks ahead" I say.

Al headed for Theo, and I bet Voight will go there too. Ruzek and Atwater said they went to Jessie and we're heading for Peyton. There's only Cal left but since we let him go after that case he hasn't been seen.

We pull up outside a green house that look very well taken care of, we follow the gravel path that leads to the door. We knock on the door, we believe they are home because the lamps are on and there are two cars on the driveway.

A woman open the door, probably the mom. "Hey, what can I help you with?" She ask, looking confused at us.

"I'm detective Halstead and this is Lindsay, Chicago PD" I say, holding up my badge.

"We would like to talk to Peyton" Erin says.

The woman look at us with confusion but without questioning she call Peyton down. We can hear how someone moves on the floor above us. I look at Erin and then we both look at the woman, she look back at us. It's a quiet and awkward.

Then we hear steps down the stair so we stop being totally gone in our own worlds, thinking about something completely else, and turn our focus back on. Anything can happen any second. She come closer down and we can now see her feet, soon legs and moments later we can se her. Though she sees us and it cause her to freeze. We don't say anything but we don't have to, she instantly realize that we are cops.

Quickly she turn around and start running up the stairs, I'm quick to react and start running after her up the stairs. I hear how Erin run the other direction, and I know she's running out to the back because when Peyton is upstairs, the only way to go is out.

"Peyton, stop!" I scream.

Though I don't know why because when someone has started to run, they won't stop until someone stop them. So to scream after them is totally meaningless.

We're at the top of the stairs and she chooses to go left. I run after her and when I get into the room she ran into I see how the window is already open, of course. She turn around to look at me, I keep running toward her, then she turn around and jump out of the window. I run to the window and look down, no way I'm jumping down there. Peyton start to run and seconds later comes Erin. Peyton is long gone for now.

Erin and I talk to the mother and ask her a couple of questions before we get into our car and drive back to the district.
