~Jay Halstead's pov~

There's something I can't understand about this world, and it is people. That's right, I can't understand people, some people think everything is obvious and other people are just stupid. Of course some people are understandable but I meet a lot of weird people through my job. But that's one thing that I really love about my job, and I know every cop has said this but it is the truth, I love that you can't go to work knowing what to expect.

I'm running after one of those weird ones, the ones I can't understand. To me it's obvious to do what the police say because otherwise you'll just get into trouble but I guess some people don't understand that.

That's the biggest problem that I can find in Jen, I mean, she's 19 so she does have a sense for what's smart and not. But that's it, when she get an idea and it sounds good, it's like she stop thinking. And that's where she fails, she doesn't think about the effects or consequences. If she could learn to think a bit further she would become a great cop because she has a very big heart and care about others a little too much, and often more then herself.

The guy who's running in front of me, Cal, is very fast. But when I se that he is running into an alley that I know is a dead end, it feels like I've got him. But Cal, the fast one, is very athletic and jumps easily over the wooden fence-wall looking thing. Me on the other hand, is not athletic enough to get over the very high wall.

And then, behind me, comes no one else then Jennifer Kaye; also known as Jen. She is running for her life and with help of the drainpipe she can climb over the fence-wall. It doesn't surprise me the drainpipe doesn't break because with that 140Ib body she can do anything. Me on the other hand would just hurt myself. But I need to insert the fact Jen was a member of a parkour group owned by Cal that used parkour to steal things, but it normally ended up with murder. That group are extremely good at escaping due their talents in parkour.

"Hello Jay" Jennifer says when she runs by me. She has a scornful smile and I can tell she's very proud of herself.

Then she disappears behind the wall. I have to run around the building, but that must be at least 300 feet and that would cost me valuable time but I have no other choice. While I start running I pick up my phone, calling Voight. I have to wait one signal until he answers.

"Go for Voight"

Voight will probably not hear me so good because I'm running but I'll do my best.

"We have a problem" I begin to say, trying to sound calm.

"Jennifer?" He says. He could probably figure out that she did something bad.

"Yeah" I kind of knew he would know, I think he knew from the beginning that she would do it.

"Where is she?" Voight asks. From the insensitive tone, he now went to a slightly angrier and strict tone.

That's something weird about Voight, he can go from being a loving person who makes sure everyone's okay to one who don't care at all, but I guess that's what makes him Voight.

"One block south" I reply.

"Make sure she don't get contact with Cal" Voight says and hang up.

Okay, so with our problem I meant that she was a problem for the whole task force, but now our problem turned into my problem. Great.
