"Could you keep a secret?"
I remember when he asked me that. I want sure what to say.
I mean, how often does Clyde - of all people - ask if you could keep a secret?
Clyde can't keep a secret, so I figured he's probably just going to talk about some rumor he heard at school.
"Yeah, I can," I said with out a second thought.
Clyde took a breath, "Don't laugh, okay?"
I nodded. What could possibly be making him so nervous?
".... I'm gay..." He whispers quietly.
"What?"
Clyde directs his gaze to the ground, avoiding my eyes.
"I-I'm gay..."
He repeats. I smile, "Okay?" I say nonchalantly, causing him to direct his gaze back to me.
He gave me a cute confused look, "Look, Clyde, I couldn't care less if you liked boys or girls. Either way, you're still my best friend."
Clyde smiled at me and his eyes started watering, and before I knew it Clyde was crying again.
I wrapped my arms around him as he buried his face into my chest and cried.
He's so cute sometimes.
"Token?"
"Yeah?"
"I really like you..."
"Love you too, Clyde."
