I didn't know what time it was, where we were, if it was even the same day, or if I had been dreaming but I felt awful.
My whole body was aching, cold, shaky and my head felt horrible.
"You're awake." Chris gasped, rushing to my side and grabbing my hand. I snatched it away and sat up. "Where's Delilah?" I asked, my eyes darting around the empty room frantically. "She went to get breakfast, are you okay?" He asked. "Am I okay?" I repeated with a scoff.
"Do you not remember what you said yesterday?" I asked. "I'm sorry. It was in the heat of the moment and I was just stressed and I didn't know what to do I just flipped out." He sighed.
"Whatever, I'm going home. HOME home, as in Joplin!" I started getting up and threw the covers off of me.
"Amy, please," he began. I sucked in a breath and he went on. "I'm not sure if you heard what I said earlier, but I love you. I already told Lilah and she's okay with it, but I just really need you.." He whispered at the end of his sentence.
It made me feel guilty seeing him practically beg me to stay, but I am not going to forget what he said to me.
"I'm staying." I sighed. He got up and went to hug me but I stepped back. "But I'm not going to love you back after what you said yesterday." I finished. He nodded solemnly and walked out the room sadly.
Delilah came rushing from the front and she hugged me tightly. "I thought I lost you." We both mumbled into each others shoulders.
"Are you okay?" I asked, pulling away and examining her. "I just got knocked out a broke my wrist. Turns out my nurse was a medical student and over exaggerated a bit." She chuckled. "I thought I'd lost you." I whispered, hugging her tightly again.
"Gosh, you're so warm... Go lie down, okay? I'll get you something to eat." She ordered. "No, I'm fine." I smiled. She sighed but nodded hesitantly and we walked into the front lounge together.
The bus was thankfully empty.
"Chris told me about... What happened..." She trailed off. "I'm sorry, I'm not going to be with him anyway." I assured her. "Good! I want to try things with him." She exclaimed. I frowned but smiled when she noticed and then went on. "Good luck." I sighed.
"Amy?!" The front door shot open and Ashley along with CC followed by the rest of the guys -except Andy- all piled into the bus.
"Are you okay?!" CC asked, checking my fever. "I'm fine." I giggled, moving his hand away. Ashley walked over and rested his hand on my head. "Damn, you're hot." He exclaimed. "I know, I'm sick." I chuckled. "Oh you're sick? I was saying because you've got a nice rack." He winked. I smacked him and then we all sat on the floor while Delilah went into the shower.
"So where's Andy?" I asked. "Oh, Juliet's got him held up." Jinxx blew out a breath and laughed. "She seems nice, was Andy lying? I mean, I've been onto her Instagram and she seems really nice and cool." I said. "She is! She's just... Kinda clingy at times." Jake sighed. "Kinda?" Jinxx asked. "At times?" Ashley laughed. "Whatever, they love each other, just in different ways." CC said.
"Made it!" Andy climbed onto the bus and let out a breath before joining us on the floor.
"What's up?" I asked. "Nothing much, dying of boredom, what's up with you? You alright? I tried to come yesterday but-" "but Juliet wanted to have dinner." Ashley finished. "Shut up. Yes. Anyway, I brought you a teddy and some flowers." He grinned, handing me a huge bear and some red roses. "Thanks Andy, but it was Delilah in the hospital, not me." I laughed. "Oh, I know, I got her some this morning when she got back." He added. I laughed and placed the things onto the table.
