Soul Resonance

Chapter eight

Jinx's POV

"But how could you guys resonate if you're both weapons?" Kid asked. He couldn't quite get his head wrapped around this.

Eve looked up from Jade, who she was holding.

"Basically, they have the same DNA. But also, the energy from Jinx's soul and the strength from Jade's are close enough to resonate. I have a hard time resonating with Jade because of her strength. My soul wavelength is harder to match to hers than most mysters with their weapons. I know now what she's capable of, so next time we try, I think we might just pull it off. But her soul's strong wavelength is enough to protect the soul she's resonating with. So when she resonated with Jinx, they're abilities combines to make a powerful weapon." Eve explained.

"But I have my two pistols, when we resonate, they become the two guns on my arms. How was jinx able to turn into two different machine guns, and if Jade was a scythe, how did she have three on her back? She's not a death scythe." Kid asked.

"I'm not exactly sure. But Jade is barely breathing!" Eve cried. "She put her life on the line just to save all of her friends!"

Jade weakly opened her eyes slightly. "Not my friends... My family..." She said.

Tears fell down Eve's face and onto Jade's ripped shirt. She kissed Jade's forehead. "Please don't leave me! I love you!" She cried.

Kid calmly walked over and blinked at Eve. She nodded her head, then Kid took her into his arms.

"I'm taking her to the nearest hospital, Patty, Liz, you stay here with everyone else. June you come with me." He said carrying her off.

Patty sat down next to Eve and hugged her.

Eve just cried silently.

Everyone walked to her and before we knew it we were all in a big group hug.

Cinnamon started crying. "If only I hadn't suggested playing Hide and Seek in the dark!"

Adam hugged her. "Cinnamon don't say that. This wasn't your fault. It's no ones fault. That freak probably would have attacked anyways. Just calm down."

Patty sat in front of her. "Hey, I like your name!" She said.

I could see Cinnamon and Patty being best friends. They were like the same person.

"Thanks, but that's just my nickname. My real name is Sylvie Fawn. And it's Cinnamon." She looked at me and scowled. "Not Cinnamonbun!"

I laughed, ting to lighten the mood. Luckily, everyone else laughed too.

"I'm sorry guys." Eve said wiping her face. "I was just so worried about Jade."

"Don't apologize, I'm worried too. I know you love her, Eve. She loves you too. She's in good hands." I explained.

Liz looked at me. "Hey aren't you related to Tsubaki?"

Tsubaki was our aunts kid. Our mom's sister's kid, so she was our cousin. "Yeah... Why?"

"You and Jade just kinda remind me of her and Blackstar." She laughed. "Plus Kid once luxuries me on the symmetry of family trees. Don't ask."

I scowled. "Ugh. I absolutely hate symmetry."

"I can tell just by your outfit! Did you notice how Kid could barely look at you? I thought he was gonna have a melt down just because of your outfit. Which by the way I think looks awesome!"
