Emma's POV


"Fine, yes I was thinking about Josh."I knew it!" I spoke to myself. "I admit that I have a teenie, tiny crush on Josh, but nothing huge". "Okay,whatever you say" I said holding the "y" longer than needed."So what are you going to do?" I asked, "nothing, absolutely nothing"." Come on Maddie, I heard he plays soccer." "So". "Well ill just leave it at that." I said proudly.

- On the bus -

Maddie's POV

Great now Emma knows I have feelings for Josh, how much more worse could it get? I stand corrected. As a familiar face got on the bus, witch smiled, waved, and sat next to me. Guess who? Of course Josh." I thought you would've wanted to sit next to Ben?" I asked. "You see I thought about that but I thought you might want to sit next to a friend." "Ya" I whispered awkwardly."Look I know that we just met, and this is crazy, so here's my number, so call me maybe!"

"Ya" I whispered awkwardly."Look I know we just met, but would you like to go out with me?" OMG! No this wasn't happening. My heart was racing, and telling me yes,yes, go for it. But my brain was telling me, no remember when we thought about being done with guys!!!

I did what I felt was best......" I'm sorry Josh but I don't think of you like that" LIE! "Let's just be friends" LIE!
I know I wanted to be with him but I just couldn't. "Okay I understand, just friends." He smiled and I smiled back.

Josh's POV

Ugh, why. I smiled and she smiled back. Her smile was so beautiful! I loved it when she smiled, I just loved it so much. I wished she had said yes.

For the rest of the ride home it was pretty much silent, in our seat. Me reading a book and Maddie looking out the window.

- At Emma's House after school -

Maddie's POV

So I was sleeping over at Emma's house cause I needed someone to talk to besides myself. I planed I was going to tell her what happened on the bus, and then let her take the wheel from there.
