Chapter 22

-Emma's POV-

As I kissed Ben, I felt fireworks explode. He even kissed me back.

As we pulled apart, the kiss cam showed another couple. When I looked around, everybody was staring at me in complete shock.

"Um..... I have to go" I spoke before leaving them. I could hear Ben call my name, but I just ignored it.

I picked up my pace, as I ran to my car in the parking lot, I didn't even care to open the door. I just sat down right there.

I sat there for a while, before I heard someone sit next to me.

"Hey" I heard a low voice say.

"Listen, I'm sorry..." I said, with all honesty.... kinda. To me, I wasn't being honest and I wasn't sorry. I actually enjoyed that kiss. A lot.

"Don't be." he said plainly.

"Em, we have been best friends since kindergarten, and I know everything about you. You are strong, funny, nice, and so much more... I'm just trying to say, I like you to, but I don't know if now is the right time."

I immidiantly felt my heart shatter into a million little pieces.

"Then when is the right time?" I asked a little annoyed.

"Em, I'm sorry it's just-" I cut him off.

"No, don't even. I understand. I just have one question. How did you have enough nerve to hurt your best friend? I mean if we are still friends." I snapped at him with my blood boiling.

"No, Em it's not like that. I want to be more than friends it's just..... just-"

"Just what Ben? Just that you like someone else, just that-" he just cut me off.

-Ben's POV-

"No, Em" I said before I pushed my lips onto hers. As our lips moved in sync, she tilted her head to deepen the kiss.

As we pulled apart, I could feel the electricity from the kiss fading away.

I stared into her ocean blue eyes, like my life depended on it.

"My parents said I can't date till I get my grades up. That's why." I spoke plainly.

"Ben, if you really want to be with me, we will find a way to make it work. It's like we can keep it a secret. Even from everyone if you want to." she said.

"Yes" was all I said, before I pulled her into another kiss.

-Maddie's POV-

Ben went to go get Emma, so it was just Morgan, Josh, and me. We talked, but after a while, Josh and I just left, and Morgan went back to her dorm.

As we walked to the car, Josh and I just kept talking about random things.

Josh and I agreed we would go to the movies, but I'm still a little worried. I had thought that there was a connection between them for a while, but now I know there is.

-Emma's POV-

After the kiss, we hopped in my car and drove to a nearby reastraunt, because neither of us got to eat, because of the whole kiss cam thing.
