-Maddie's POV- 1 year after incident -

"Hey"

"What do you want" I looked at him with a glare.

"Another chance"

"Do you think you deserve another chance?" I questioned him.

He took a moment to respond. He looked as if he was in deep thought.

"Yes" he spoke, connecting a strong gaze with my light brown eyes.

Just as he was leaning, I took a step back.

"Well I'm done giving chances Dylan."

"Fine, f*** you" he yelled.

"No thanks, I don't want herpes" I say. Then close the door.

I'm happily with Josh. AKA the person I love. We have been together for over a year now, and don't have any hesitations to end it. Were almost high school graduates. I'm going to Texas A&M University to become a vet, and Josh is going to Baylor University for football.

"Well... We made it!!" I hear Emma speak through the microphone.

She became this years valedictorian, and is very happy about it.

"Madeline Brown"

I quickly rise from my chair, walk up on the stage, shake Mr. Stevens hand, and take my diploma.

Finally!!

Moments later, I hear them call Josh. I scream at the top of my lungs.

At the end of the ceremony, we all went out for ice cream, like little kids.

"Hey Maddie?"

"Ya Em?"

"Are we ever going to see each other again? I mean, because Ben and I are going to The University of Michigan. Are we ever going to see each other?

I hadn't ever thought about it like that. I was all caught up with Josh, that I didn't even notice that I was leaving my best friends.

"I don't know."

"What do we do?"

"It's not like we have all the money in the world to see everyone each month. But we can still Skype?"

"It won't be the same."

"You know what Em. If it's important to us, we will find a way."

A smile spread across her face after those words left my mouth.

"Your right"

"This is it."

"I love you girl"

"I love you too" with that, I hugged Emma and when I let go, I saw tears streaming down her face.

"Don't cry, then I'll start crying."

"Mads, you are crying"

I wiped my face, with the back of my hand, and noticed. Indeed, I was crying.

"Wow." We started giggling, and pulled into another hug.

"Come here Ben" I said pulling him into a big bear hug.

"I love you girl. Don't have too much fun without me. If Josh breaks your heart, call me. I'll take care of it."

"Your Luke my big brother. I love you."

After we were don't saying our goodbyes, they unwillingly got into Ben's pickup truck, and started to drive away.

It isn't the end, it's just the beginning.
