~I'm not sure if someone is checking me out, or shocked at how ugly I am~

-Maddie's POV-

I was in Josh's car, and we were on our way to school. I plan on talking to Ben, because he is a terrible liar, so he can tell me the truth. He other night when after the date, I went to his house, and threw my phone at him. Ya...... I was arguing with him, a lot.

We arrived at school, so as I was walking over to him, he was walking the opposite direction. He was running into people, and pushing them down. That was till I caught up to him and grabbed the hood of his jacket.

"Can I talk to you" I asked.

"Okay, let's talk" he answered, pulling his football helmet out if him bag, and putting it on. I assume he just got out of practice.

"Why did you put that on?"

"For protection" he murmured.

"Whatever, but I want you to tell me the truth about you and Emma." I spoke looking at him in the eyes.

"W-were dating, and.... it's been going on for 3 weeks.

"Okay" is said holding in all my feelings.

"I understand" I said pulling him into a hug.

"But, why didn't you tell me?" I asked pulling away from the hug, and we began to walk next to each other to our first period.

"Reasons" was all he said.

-Emma's POV- (After school)

I was holding Ben's hand as we were walking to the bus. We now weren't afraid to be public. We didn't care about anything, as long as we were together.

"I love you, Ben"

"I love you to"

After that he gave me a quick peck on the cheek, before boarding the bus.

-Maddie's POV-

I was at Hollister, and I was planing on buying a new top, for my date with Josh.

"Can I help you?" a guy probably only two years older than me asked.

"Uh... no?" I asked. I was kind of bad with talking to strangers. Plus, this guy was attractive.

He chuckled.

"Hey, my name is Nathan" the stranger said, holding out his hand for me to shake.

"Maddie" was all I said accepting his hand.

"Well, my break starts in about five minuets, want to go get a drink with me?"

Whoa. Whoa.

Hold up.

"I- I..... um"

"Come on, I don't bite"

"I guess?" I spoke awkwardly.

"You question yourself a lot don't you."

"Yes."

He walked over to the computer and slid this card.

"Alright let's go, I know where to get the best coffee in this mall."

I slowly followed, questioning myself if I made a huge mistake. He was a stranger for god's sake. How stupid can I get.

"So have you ever been to this mall before?" he asked me.

"Um, ya. I go here a lot actually."

"Cool, I just got my job at Hollister not too long ago actually."

"Cool...."

After that awkward conversation, we just talked about random subjects like, paper or plastic and do you believe in Santa.

When we got to the coffee shop I ordered a hot chocolate, because I absolutely hate coffee.

After us talking for even longer, he had to get back to work.

"Hey, so if you want to hang out again, or get bored here is my number." he said grabbing my hand, and placing a work card in it.

It read

Call me Maybe?

And then his phone number.

Before I could protest, he walked away in the other direction.

Seriously. This guy has his own business card for handing out his phone number to girls.

I was defiantly not calling him, especially since I have Josh.
