Chapter 4

Maddie's POV

As I told Emma about what happened on the bus, she just stared at me with huge eyes, concentrating on my every word. This is why I didn't tell her stuff like this. I mean she can keep a secret, but she makes me feel uncomfortable when I tell her. I mean she just stares. It's kinda creepy, but I love her so it doesn't matter. I mean doesn't everyone have flaws.

After I told her she just screamed and yelled "I can't believe Josh likes you!", "Ya" I agreed. "Well, what do you think, come'on I need advice" I said eagerly. "Well I think you should go out with him" she said shyly hugging her pillow "Come on, Ben and I already know you have feelings for him, we see the way you look at him". "Emma I told I I'm done with guys!" I yelled angrily, as if I haven't made it clear enough already. "Well maybe you can take a break from your break, live a little" she stated casualy. "Ya, maybe your right, I deserve someone to tell me I'm amazing, and mean it!"I gradually spoke." You go girl!" Emma shouted.

As I dialed Josh's number, right as he spoke into the cellphone I froze."Hello..... hello?" He questioned as I just froze there. I wasn't ready, at all. The phone dropped (Me still not moving) Emma grabbed the cellphone off the floor, and spoke in her sweetest voice.

"Hello" she spoke, "Hey, Emma", "Hi" she spoke again. "So Emma, why did you call me?" he asked. "Oh actually, my good friend Maddie called.", "Really!". "No my pet pig, of course she did, why wouldn't she?" she spoke sarcastically.

Emma handed the cellphone to me and whispered "I got him all warmed up for ya". "Thanks" I whispered sarcastically. "H-hey" i spoke shyly."Your welcome" she whispered, while brewing a smirk on her face.

"Hey" he said, "So why did you call me?" He asked. "I um.......... wanted to ask you your recipe for oatmeal raisin cookies?" "Umm ok?"

"Are you sure there isn't anything else you wanted?" He asked, "Ya" I said. "Okay, then". He gave me a recipe(not actually writing it down), then I hung up. "You LIAR!" Emma said yelling at me from afar. "Whatever" I spoke carelessly.

-Next Morning-

"Hello Beautiful" Josh said akwardly, as I was making my way into the school building, "how did you sleep?" He asked,"Great" I replied. "How were those cookies?" He asked, "Great"(Even though we didn't actually make them). After our little talk I tried to avoid him as much as possible.

-On the bus-

As I sat on the bus I kept alert of my surroundings to make sure Josh couldn't see me.(I was still avoiding him). Once I saw him, I ducked as soon as possible, to make sure he didn't see me. He sat next to Ben, then he asked the worst question anyone could ask about me at this very moment. It for sure would ruin my whole plane of avoiding Josh........
