• Evan •I was right about the day going by slow. I only got to talk to Hannah a little bit through the day after second period. Mackenzie, Hannah, and I all day together at lunch, but Hannah was hanging out with some of her girl friends at break so I didn't bother her. I also didn't get to sit by her fifth period, but I don't mind. We'll spend time together tonight and this weekend too probably.
I know it's only the second day, but I think the school year is going to go well. The only thing that might be a problem is that Christian Lockwood is in every class with me and Mackenzie. He hasn't actually done anything yet though, so I guess I can't complain.
When the bell rings seventh period I pick up my book bag and walk out of the classroom. I wait for Mackenzie to come out and then we walk to my jeep together. Since the date is planned, I'm going to drop Mackenzie off at her house and then go home to get ready.
On the way to her house, Mackenzie plays different songs from her phone. Mackenzie is the only one who I'll let mess with my radio. She has the same taste in music as me, so nine times out of ten I like the songs she plays. I never let her do it if Hannah is in the car though, because I don't let Hannah do it.
Sounds mean, but the songs she picks are usually pretty terrible. To me, anyway. I know people have different taste and that's okay, but this is my car so I want the music that I like to play. Hannah controls the music if we're riding in her car. I know music choice isn't a big deal, but whatever.
After I drop Mackenzie off it isn't long until I'm at my house. Neither of my parents are home yet, my mom always gets home around 4 or 4:30 and my dad gets off at 6:30. My mom is a teacher and my dad manages an auto parts store.
I unlock the front door and shut it behind me as I walk in. I'd usually pig out on junk food after school, but I don't want to be full when we go out for dinner. I start pulling my shirt off as I walk to the bathroom. I throw it in the dirty clothes hamper and then undress the rest of my clothes and put them in too. I gotta wash all this nasty school off before my date.
Wrapping a towel around my waist after showering, I walk back to my bedroom. I look through my closet and find a nice shirt and pair of jeans to wear. I put them on and then finish getting ready in the bathroom.
When I'm dressed and ready I grab my stuff and walk into the living room. Just as I do, my mom is coming through the front door.
"Hey, mom." I greet, causing her to look over at me.
"Hey, hun. Where are you going?" She asks, looking at my clothes.
"I'm taking Hannah on a date... if that's alright." I add the last part, hoping she'll say yes.
"Of course it is. I haven't seen Hannah in such a long time, you need to bring her over for dinner one night." She says and puts her stuff on the kitchen counter.
Hmm. That would be nice. A family dinner with my girlfriend. Both of my parents like Hannah and she seems to like them as well. I don't know why she wouldn't.

After picking Hannah up, we went to the movies and saw the latest romance. I'm not really sure what it was about, just that Hannah cried at the end. I think they were happy tears though... It wasn't a sad movie, anyway.
