• Evan •

Today is the day of the double date and I'm feeling kind of nervous. I'm going to be out in public on a date with a guy. Sure, it might not really look like we're on a date with two other guys there, but I know I'll be paranoid that some people will think it's a date.

I kind of want that, though. I'm not entirely ready to come out, but I don't want girls or even boys thinking that Christian is a free man, which I guess he actually is, right? He never asked me to be his boyfriend officially and I haven't asked him, but I think I want to.

Guys are normally the ones who ask girls out and Christian might be slightly more manlier than me, but I'm still a guy. I can do the asking out too and I will! I'll ask him to be my boyfriend tonight.

I look at myself in my bathroom mirror, running a brush through my hair. I smile at myself and nod my head; I look good.

"Evan?" Christian's voice calls. I leave the bathroom and walk into the living room, seeing him standing in front of the door. He smiles widely when his eyes lock onto mine.

"Hey, I guess you didn't hear me knocking?" He questions, looking me up and down. I'm dressed in casual clothes, just jeans and a t-shirt.

I shake my head. "I didn't, but you don't really have to knock if the door is unlocked and my parents aren't home." I say, shrugging.

He casually looks around the room, before looking back at me. "Where are your parents?" He asks, frowning.

"One of their friends is hosting a dinner party and they were invited. Me too, but I didn't want to go to some old people party, you know?"

Christian nods his head, chuckling. "Yeah, I get it. Ready to go?" I nod my head and start walking closer to the door.

Christian takes my hand in his, surprising me, and pulls me out of the door. I lock it with my free hand and look around quickly. Seeing no one around, I calm down and let Christian hold my hand as we walk towards his car.

He untangles his hand from mine and I immediately miss the warmth of it, but I get over it quickly as Christian opens the car door for me. I get in, rolling my eyes. He's really treating me like a girl, but I can take charge. I can be the one who opens doors for him and brings him flowers.... as a matter of fact, I think I will next time.

The car starts to move and I look over at Christian, I didn't even notice him get in the car. I study his profile and wonder why he likes me, of all people.

My eyes are drawn to his lips when his tongue peeks out to wet them. I lick my own lips at the gesture, then turn to look out of the window.

After a couple of moments, I think of something and turn back to him. "Are we picking Max and Dean up?" I question.

"Yeah, we are. It won't take long to get to Dean's." Christian says, glancing at me out of the corner of his eye.

"Ah okay. Can I play some music?" I ask, already grabbing the iPhone charger plugged into the USB port thingy.

"Course." He laughs. "Although I'm guessing you would've played something even if I said no."
