Life on the road

Rydel's pov
Everyone was awake now and sitting in the small tour bus living room, it was a tight squeeze but we call it cozy. "I was thinking we could go play some ice hockey today?" I asked as everyone excitedly said 'yes'. We all got ready in warm jackets and jeans, then we headed to the closet ice hockey rink, hired it and collected our skates.

Emily's pov

Rydel suggested today we play ice hockey, I was excited, although I didn't know how to play ice hockey, along with being a dancer I used to be a figure skater as well.  Stormie and Mark left to go to lunch, and Rydel and Alexa went to the bathroom while the boys were mucking around. I quickly put my skates on and headed onto the ice.

I began doing one of the solos I remembered from when I was 13, which included turns, leaps and jumps. After I stopped the dance I went to have a quick break before we played. I walked off and everyone was staying at me wide eyed. "How did you do that?" Rocky asked as they all nodded in agreement. "I used to be a figure skater before-" I was going to tell them but I stopped myself. "Well someone's going to have to explain how to play to me" I yelled as everyone forgot about the conversation and we all skated out and made teams. It was Ross, Rocky, Alexa and I on one team and Rydel, Ellington, Riker and Ryland on the other. Ross explained it to me and I seemed to understand. We began playing, I think I am getting the hang of it. I was trying to score a goal but I slipped over and fell on my butt, Ross laughed and tried to help me up but ended up falling on top as me as everyone broke out into laughter.. 2 hours later we ended the game and finished up with our team winning 4-2.

Ross's pov

We won ice hockey, we returned our skates and went out to lunch. I realized tomorrow was Father's Day and we had to get dad a present. "Hey guys we need to get dad a present for Father's Day tomorrow" I exclaimed. "oh yeah" they all said.

"Are you going to go visit your dad  Emily?" Rydel asked as Emily looked down and I motioned for her to be quiet. "Umm well" she said but I cut her off "Em you don't have to say anything" "Well if I'm going to be spending all these months with you, I should tell you about my past" Emily said as I asked if she was sure and she nodded. 

Emily's pov 

I began telling them the story about my parents and younger brother... "My mom had just become 7 months pregnant with my little brother mason, my parents decided to go out and celebrate for dinner, they dropped me off at work, and told me they would pick me up when I finished at nine. It was 9:05 and no one picked me up, I was waiting outside and my boss decided she would drive me home. She dropped me home and I just assumed my parents were coming back later because they were having fun, at 10:30 I got a knock on the door and I answered it, it was the police. They told me my mum and dad had been in an accident and unfortunately didn't make it and neither did mason, my unborn brother. Since I was only 15, I moved in with Savannah and kept working at my job to earn money, I bought an apartment that was affordable when I turned 16, and I've used my job to pay for it ever since then. It was hard but ive somehow managed to overcome everything" 

"Omg Emily that must have been horrible I'm so sorry" Rydel whispered wiping her tears away, they were all crying even Ross. "Thank you for telling us, we promise we're going to always make you feel apart of our family" Riker said as they all nodded in agreement. "I'm really sorry Em, I love you so much and I can't wait until you come and live with us" Ross said  "She's moving in!?" Rocky asked confused through tears "yeah, if she would like. I spoke to mom about it and she said as long as it's fine with Em it's fine with them" Ross responded and I smiled. Everyone smiled and told me they couldn't wait for me to live with them and how much fun we would all have. 

For the rest of the day we all just hung out and had a good time. I wasn't 100 percent sure I wanted to move in with them for no reason but my own insecurities, but it's definitely something to think about.
