chapter -23- "unpleasant memories"

Charlie's pov :

"Meghan can I talk with you for a minute ?" said Charlie

"yeah sure , this is Emi ...." Meghan said but Charlie interrupted

"let's go" Charlie said as he grabbed Meghan's hands and walked with her away , "just a moment" Meghan said to Emily"
Emily was staring and giving an evil smirk at them while they were getting away .

Charlie just wanted to get away from Emily , because of the past they had together , Charlie is the one who broke up with Her.

"what was that about ?" asked Meghan with half-angry tone

"what did she want from you? " asked Charlie

"she asked to be my lawyer" said Meghan , "yeah well she can't" said Charlie

"do you know her? " asked Meghan , Charlie twisted his tongue , "we used to date" he said

"it's really ironic , that we have to meet again with everyone you or I used to date before in this life" said Meghan

"I know , which is why we need to avoid her to avoid upcoming troubles" said Charlie

Meghan turned around and looked at Emily , she was still standing there Waiting for An answer from Meghan , Meghan thought that Emily is the only one offered to help with her case , she thinks that Emily is her last hope .

"we need a lawyer" said Meghan
"we can find one" said Charlie
"what if we don't?" asked Meghan
"we will , I will find us one" said Charlie , Meghan nodded

Charlie and Meghan got out of the building without even looking back at Emily , She walked away too with anger and Disappointment .

/in the car/

Meghan looked at Charlie

"please don't ask" said Charlie

"I need to know" said Meghan

Charlie took a deep breath , he looked across the street to check for his driving , then he said :

"I broke up with Her"

"what happened between you two?" asked Meghan

Charlie started remembering his past with Emily once again

(flashback)

"wake up!! " Mikaela yelled , Charlie's sister

"what? " Charlie said

"did you forget , your bestfriend Tommy , came into town last night at 1 after the midnight , and you need to go and see him" said Mikaela

"He did !!! Oh my god I missed him so much , I'm going to his house" Charlie said

"Where is Emily? " asked Mikaela

"she went to her parents house yesterday , her mother is sick" said Charlie

"OK now get up" said Mikaela

Charlie took a shower , changed his clothes and walked into Tommy's house which is 5 streets away .

He knocked the door twice , Tommy opened it and he was shirtless

"Charlie!!! I missed you bro" said Tommy

"I missed you more man" said Charlie

They hugged each other and Charlie got inside the house .

They were catching up as a girl with a robe around her body walked the stairs down , she was Emily

(flashback end)

"she cheated on me with my best friend , he didn't know that I was dating her and she didn't know know that he was my best friend but at anyways she cheated on me" said Charlie

"Charlie I'm , so sorry , I know how that hurts" said Meghan , she felt bad for asking him about his relationship with Emily

"it's OK , I'm over it now" Charlie said

Charlie dropped Meghan at their house , then he went out to check on every lawyer office in the city .

Meghan grabbed her guitar , she was feeling depressed for everything that happened to her , canceling her record deal was like telling her that she is not good at being an artist , that she can't sing and that her music sucks.

She was singing some of her songs , she thought that it would make her better but she just cried , she was crying that she won't be able to do the most thing she loves , the thing that makes her complete , making music !!!

All of the lawyers refused to side for Meghan at the court as it will make Enemies with one of the most powerful companies in the world and the most powerful company in Music Industry .

Charlie returned back home , He got out of the car and walked to the house , before he entered he glimpsed Meghan from the window , he could see her cry , he could see that she was so heart-broken ...

Charlie couldn't resist to see his wife like this , he felt bad he returned back to his car and drove to His Ex's office , Emily's office , He had no other Choice
He Entered her office , He saw her sitting in her desk while talking to a guy standing in front of her desk and laughing together ...

Emily paid attention to Charlie and the guy turned around to see who entered the office .

The guy was Tommy ...
