“I’ve been looking for you my whole damn life.”

― Colleen Hoover, Hopeless

Astrid

“Hey, stop it! I’m trying to get ready.” Harry was kissing my neck distracting me from picking a necklace to wear to the dinner.

“I’m sorry but you know I can’t resist. Your neck is just begging to be kissed by me.” he said brushing his lips across my ears. I sighed heavily closing my eyes letting myself feel his lips against my skin. But all of sudden he pulled away. I groaned and in response he chuckled. I was the one who had insisted to wait till we went to U.S. to sleep sleep together. But I had no idea he was going to make it so difficult. He was just a tease sometimes. As I tried to buckle my pendant to the back of my neck, I felt the coldness of the metal against me hot skin. The weight of the pendant could be easily felt every time I breathe. You just need to breathe to feel my heart against yours now. Those were the words that had made those days  the best days of my life.

My fingers came to brush the skin of my neck where Harry was previously tormenting me as memories of our trip to the sea flushed to my mind, harry giving me the necklace, running around the beach playing with the waves and kissing. God, did we kiss those days there. He was happy to finally having everything he ever wanted in life and he was transferring it to me. He was capable enough to make me forget the imminent dinner with my family, almost capable.

Now that we were here, back to Athens, there was nothing to distract me from that hideous dinner. Everyone was gathering downstairs tonight. Even Daniel’s parents came to Athens. I had to be there. But my mum had insisted that Harry should be there too. He was my boyfriend and therefore he was obligated to be at the dinner. Luckily Anne had taken Niall for a little tour around the city to avoid the madness that was called my family.

I was surprised the press had sniffed Harry and Niall out. i was expecting that by the time they would surrounded by the press and the fans but no one had realized that they were here since everyone knew that they would be with their families. Family. I sighed. I had to tell Harry about what was going to follow. I hoped tomorrow would find us cuddled together and not far apart from what was going to Happen to tonight.

“Harry?”

“Yes, Angel?”

“Could you promise me something?”

“Sure what is it?” his eyes were alarmed by the seriousness of my voice.

“Just promise that no matter happens tonight you would still love me tomorrow.”

“Oh! Angel.” He said cupping my face, coming so close. “I’ll love you forever.” He promised and then he kissed me. His promise was transparent to his kiss that was signifying security and love. I felt suddenly positive about the whole dinner.

“Oh! And don’t answer any personal questions. Because they would be asked. I’m sure of it.” I said. He nodded curious about my expression. I opened the trap door on the floor and let him climb down the stairs first. I took a deep breath and started climbing down the stairs, ready for whatever may happen.

Harry

“So, Harry. Tell me. Is your family wealthy?” the question of Astrid’s mother made almost choke on my water. She was strict look on her face. I instantly looked at Astrid to see if I should answer. She waved no to me. This inquisition had been going on for a while. We currently eating the main dish and it seemed that her parent’s questions were far from over. They had asked from my sexual life and lifestyle and now they were asking me about my financial situation. I had tried to avoid the questions as good as I could but it was starting to get really difficult.
