My eyes droop as I write
click! click! pause. click! click! pause.
The keys on my laptop fire away
clickclickclick! pause. clickclickclick!
I know I shouldn't be awake at this time
pause.
But I can't help it
click! click! click!
My nerves fire at full speed but they can't keep up with my thoughts
ahhhh
I've lost my train of thought - it has pulled out of the train station that is my brain
click!
I watch the single letter appear across the screen
ugh
Then a new train barrels in and I struggle to keep up
clickclickclick! pause. clickclickclick!
I yawn - the curse of late night ideas and late night writing
click! click! pause. click! click! pause.
My eyes begin to droop again but I keep myself writing
click! pause. click! pause.
I am determined to ride this idea all the way to the end of the line
clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick!
Yes. I've managed to hold on.
Inspiration: I wrote a chapter for my other story ;) Cami --- :I Calum today in like just a few hours (my second fastest time for writing a chapter in any of my books). I just had this random inspiration to write for that specific book, even though I was really working hard on trying to finish chapters in my other two books - Things That I Do and ;) Lucy --- :I Luke. Then that writing inspired me to write this poem, especially considering in my time zone it is very late and I should be asleep. But it is just one of those writing days - or should I say nights hehehe :D
