Glasses

I can see without you

I'm not quite blind enough to depend

But you make everything crisper

Another level of clarity

That magnifies and enhances

As well as reflects and burns

Pieces of glass in plastic tow-tone frames

Spotted with dust and smudges

And signs of good wear

So little that does so much

But besides practicality

You are almost like a cliché metaphor

Sometimes a different lens

A different point of view

A different angle

Might take a moment to adjust to

But can change the way you see the world

For better or for worse
