She said she was just now jumping on the bandwagon like everyone else now that he was gone
She didn't respond because she knew the real answer
She was born and raised on the bandwagon
Had always been on it
Just silently on it
Reaching out to the wind of other music while still remembering
She told her not to play the music if she didn't want to listen to it
"You don't have to play it just for me... I'll be fine" she said
She kept on playing
She had always loved the music
How could she not?
And it was icing on the cake that her mother was a believer, NOT just a fan
She was tired of being silent
She wanted the world to know
To know that she loved the music of past and future - at the present
She took her to see the movie
The one said to be almost autobiographical
She reveled in the memories
All those great times
And wallowed in the regret
Of not taking her to ever seen him
She wanted her to experience him in her life
Because when she did, it was life changing
She was on the edge of her seat
She watched, felt, and understood the entire time
She saw connections to her own life
In one that seemed so different from hers on the surface
And at that place and time
In the dark movie theater
She fell in love
Just like she did, only a few decades later, in a different experience
She saw what she saw in him
Or what she thought she saw in him
She was happy she loved the movie
She was glad she loved the music
But she was worried about her getting stuck
Stuck in the past, not living her current life
She didn't want her to loose touch
It was already hard enough for her
Such a kind soul
A slowly breaking soul
No friends around her
The movie moved her
She was more determined to let the world know of her new love
One that ran so deep in a matter a days
And it didn't matter that he was dead
She had a crush - if that's what you want to call it - on the same person she had one on decades ago
