I am the link
I hold the ones together that are exploding apart
For them, I am the only thing that keeps them from breaking
I bring people together
For them, I organize ones who would otherwise not gather in one place, in one time, in the present
Nothing happens when I am gone
Or nothing that this part of the chain knows about
Everyday people use me
They cling on, depending on me to bring them closer, to have new experiences
The weight is heavy, but the link tries to stay strong
But how much weight can this one link hold until it breaks?
I am the link
How much more can I take?
