Chapter Fifteen: The Truth

Thomas POV

"A Werewolf! She would of changed already! They change at age eight! She smells human too!" Marcel said throwing his hands in the air.

"Hey kiddo, can I talk to Marcel alone?" I said to Amanda, she nodded her head and I helped her down from the counter and I can tell she was done. I took her plate from her and set it in the sink and she went into Alexis's and her room.

"She didn't tell you about her family, did she?"

"No but that Laurence guy partly did." I cringed again when he said that name.

"What did he say?"

"He said something about her parents being dead and that they will finish her bloodline by starting with Amanda like they did with someone named Max, then she killed him." Marcel said pushing his food away, I turned around and punched the wall as hard as I can and my hand went through the wall. I rest my head on the wall.

"We're fucked, the discovered she is alive and Amanda.... Amanda is in it now... She's also in danger.."

"Thomas.. What. Is. Going. On?" Marcel said getting up, I slowly took my fist out of the wall and said, "For you to understand, I have to tell you about her past and how I know this. She doesn't know that I know what's happening, I can't tell her either. Why? I will tell after I tell you what has happened." He nodded and I ran my hand through my hair and sighed.

"The Thornton's are a very powerful bloodline of hunters, especially since the males were all werewolves, they made sure that the supernatural and the the human world were at peace. When her father, Jerald Thornton met his mate, her mother Lilly, she was also a Werewolf. Which means, whatever child they had will be full werewolf. Their family was the best hunters out there which meant that their life was always at stake. When Alexis was born Lilly wanted hide her wolf side, so she asked a witch to take it away but Jerald wanted the Werewolf bloodline to continue so the witch hid her wolf deep inside of Alexis, and when she meets her mate and they fully mate, she'll shift the next day. When Alexis was 4, Lilly and Jerald had another kid, a little boy named Max. Alexis got into the hunting business with her parents when she turned six, she trained hard. Lilly met me, I was in a business to protect hunters families and Lilly wanted me to guard and protect Alexis. I swore to my life I would, and I did but Lilly had the witch put a spell on me so that I can't tell her what she is." I stopped and took a deep breath. I looked over at Marcel and he was looking at the counter frowning, I continued,

"8 years later of an almost normal lifestyle, and me watching Alexis and Max had his protector. Max's protector wasn't the best and Max got kidnapped by a vampire. I was gone hunting and I wasn't there to stop him. Alexis and her family suited up and went to go and save Max, but it was a trap. Her parents were killed by two Vampires taking their hearts out and Max died by a rouge snapping his neck. He was only 8 years old, and Alexis saw it all. She would of been next if I didn't go on a rampage to find her. Laurence was going to kill her but I was stronger and faster than him, I kicked him in the chest and got Alexis out of there and we hid for a year. Alexis was depressed, very depressed but her way of coping was hunting. So her and I became traveling hunters." I leaned against the wall. Marcel looked at me with sad eyes.

"But why is she in so much pain right now?" Marcel said slowly and sadly.

"It's her wolf trying to surface. Her wolf wants to come out and help Alexis, especially since she has Amanda. It's the mother instincts of a wolf coming through, her wolf wants to soothe Amanda's wolf like a mother would." I said sighing. Marcel just stared at his hands. I didn't know what else to say or do.

"She has been through all of this because she is a hunter. What makes her so powerful?"

"Because only one Thornton can wipe out a pack or clan in a matter of time." I said truthfully. Amanda walked back in and wiped her eyes.

"What's wrong Kiddo?"

"I can't sleep without Mom." She said looking down. I smiled softly and picked her up and set her on my hip.

"You can stay here if you want, if you are you better mind-link Carson and Marcel?" I said walking up the stairs.

"Yeah?"

"Get some food and get some sleep, I may be a vampire but I still care about others. Okay?"

"Yeah, yeah. I will."

"I mean it Marcel, don't let this effect your health. Alexis needs you and everyone to be strong around her in order for her to stay strong."

"Okay." He said defeated.

"Good night Marcel." I said

"Night Night Marcie!" Amanda said smiling big. Marcel laughed and smiled.

"Night you two." Marcel said grabbing a class of water. I smiled and walked up the stairs to my room. I plopped Amanda on the bed and she giggled, I chuckled and kissed her forehead.

"So mom is a Werewolf?" Amanda asked. I froze and looked at her.

"Ho-" She cut me off by raising her hand.

"Werewolf hearing, remember." I groaned and facedpalmed myself.

"No point of hiding it now. Yes she is but don't tell her. She isn't supposed to know, okay Kiddo?" She nodded and laid down and patted the spot beside her. I chuckled and laid down beside her and she cuddled into me. I smiled and kissed the her head. She slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep. Soonly after she did, I crashed.
