Dear Planet

Dear planet, you gave us what we need to live this life,
You try so hard to stop the strife,
But all we do is grab the knife,
We come and take your water,
In your home we start a slaughter,
And yet we are no squatter,
We take what you have in a flash,
We turn your sons to ash,
And we made you our trash,
You created the moon,
Helped us calm at June,
Made us feel safe at noon,
You gave us shelter,
Kept us close to the centre,
Gave us the perfect weather,
You made sure we do no melt,
Gave us beauty to be felt,
Kept us protected from the asteroid belt,
And yet all we do is ignore,
Thank god you were never four,
Or we would have no shore,
We think that you will live forever,
That in our lifetime death for you is never,
And we hope that to our devils you endeavour,
Today I make a promise,
I will be honest,
Before you get hit with a comet,
Thank you for looking after us,
In return I will send a message in a bus,
So that your lifetime can plus.
