Chapter 71 : Suspicious Act

Later that evening. In front of Eun Hee's House. Jihoon's POV.

I glance down my wrist watch to find that it was past seven o'clock. I continuously tap my other foot impatiently awaiting EunRa. I know that I'm supposed to be home right now, but really, I think I should confront at least EunRa about this whole mess. Maybe I could get some sense out of her or at the very least let her stop all this nonsense before it gets out of hand.

Finally, after two hours of waiting. "Yah, what are you doing here, Jihoon?" It was her, EunRa. I glare at her way, straightening my posture away from the pillar. She stared at me innocently for a minute before reverting back to her devilish look. "Hmm, so you found out, huh? As expected of the witty Jihoon."

"Why are you doing this? What's your intention for disguising as Eun Hee, huh?" I scowl at her. EunRa puts all her weight in one foot, standing unevenly with a bored look. "What's it to you? This is between me and her." "Oh, really? So if I were to tell everyone in school that you were disguised as Eun Hee this whole time, then what? Do you still think you'll be welcomed by everyone?"I threatened her.

She flinch the slightest, forcing up a smiling face. "Do you think such a petty trap would work on me? Did you really think that? Don't forget that Eun Hee was the one who made me this way! She owes her life to me, so no matter what you do right now, she'll only hate you for it."

I was taken aback by her sudden comeback, remembering the words that Eun Hee left me before she entered her house. I clench my fists, hating how she finds loopholes to make her look so clean and innocent. She stands inches away from me, "Oh, and, don't worry. I plan to return her identity tomorrow afternoon. As soon as her friends go back to Seoul that is."

My eyes widen, taking a step back from her. "..What are you saying? Did you drive them out without Eun Hee knowing about this?!" I held my urge to grab her by the neck. She laughs maniacally, "Drive them away? Hahaha! What are you talking about, I simply said that I didn't want to return, well, using Eun Hee's identity anyway. Besides, a girl in Busan should remain in Busan. If anyone would return to Seoul, it should be me!--"

"Listen to yourself, EunRa! What have you become.. to be so greedy like this!" I shouted at her face. Her mouth gapped open, her eyes staying at a neutral state. "You ask me why..? It's really simple, really. I just want to have my moment.. to experience what I missed. Because of her I got into a coma and missed two years of my childhood! Is it so bad to be her for three days and to see how far she's gotten in life?!" I slapped her on the face, watching as she pant from exhausting her throat.

"Why are you so freaking blind?! How much longer will you live in misery, EunRa?! No, how much longer are you going to use the same reason towards her? She's trying her best to make up for you, to go lengths as to let you be her! She's surrendering herself towards you 'cause she thinks it's her fault. To tell you the truth, it wasn't even her fault why you even drowned in that lake before.."

EunRa plasters a panicked look, "..W-What?" "I remember it.. the day where you drowned."

Flashback to 2006. Open Campsite.

"Hey, let's play a game, guys!" says Jihoon. "Omo, that would be fun! What should we play, Jihoon oppa?" says EunRa, ready to drop the purse her Mom gave her that's occupied with a piece of bread and a nametag. "Oh, I know! Let's go play by the lake! I heard there were fishes by the shallow waters!" says Jihoon, proudly standing on top of a small boulder. Kai, who was busy tying Eun Hee's hair, looks at Jihoon. "I don't think that such a good idea, Jihoon.."

"Heh? Why not? It's going to be fun! Besides, just as long as we don't cross over to the deep parts, everything will be alright. Besides, your parents hired a professional swimmer to teach you how to swim. For an seven year old such as you, there won't be a problem!" says Jihoon, playful laughing. Eun Hee stands as soon as Kai had finished placing it up in a ponytail.
