Eun Hee's House. Eun Hee's POV.

"Eomma! Eomma!" I shake her shoulders, trying to make her answer me as tears trickle down my cheeks. No matter how much I try to cease her bawl, she persist on crying her eyes out. A hand grabs me, making me look the other way towards Chanyeol. "Eun Hee.. I think you need to--" "Get out! Everyone of you get out!" said Eomma, grasping my hand like her life depended on it.

She kept repeating the same words till they all left with disappointed looks. I didn't know how long I sat beside Eomma crying. It felt like hours and before I knew it, an hour passed right before my eyes. After some time, her weep has finally calmed down bit by bit till the room turned silent.

As soon as she rests her head upon the head of the couch, she instantaneously fell asleep with her hand still gripped onto mine. By the time she ended, I felt relieved once more. Even though I should feel happy that she had stopped crying. I still couldn't shake the feeling off that this is not the end of Eomma's mysterious actions. I glance down the soaked documents, removing the pinned ID picture of both Mr. Lee and the dean.

If my assumption is right, could it be the dean who Eomma is concerned about? Since Kai was shortly related to us, that means that Eomma and the dean would have met sometime during those times.. Judging from her expressions, it seems that those two have yet to resolve their problem. I bite my lower lip, thinking thoroughly when all of a sudden, my phone rang of an incoming call.

I speedily run to the Kitchen, answering the call with a soft voice. "Hello?" "Eun Hee, how's everything there? Did your Mom stop crying?" It was Chanyeol, worried as he'll ever be. I place a hand where my heart was located, taking deep breaths before answering his simple question. "Y-Yes, she's fine. She's fallen asleep by the couch so I'll just--"

In the midst of the phone call, in comes the Platinum members forming a straight line. My eyes widen, lowering the phone away from my ear just a bit before Chanyeol came last at the end of the line. Lay lifted Eomma up the couch while Kyungsoo and Tao accompanied him up to Eomma's bedroom. Chanyeol ends the call, placing it back inside his front pocket.

"Did you think that we'll actually leave you with this kind of problem at hand, huh." says Chanyeol, still maintaining a serious look, but deep down inside, he knows I'm happy to see him right now. I went near to embrace him as much as my heart is squeezing inside of me. "Thank you.. Thank you. I wouldn't know what I'd do if it weren't for everyone.. So, thank you.."

Chanyeol hits my head lightly, "Thank us when we actually get you to Seoul, dummy. I may sound selfish for saying this.. But no matter how much you or everyone in this house makes your Mom cry, there's no way I'd let go of this hand.." He said, lifting my hand as he softly lands a kiss on it. "So should the rest of us head out back to the hotel and let you two flirt some more, or what?" It was Lay and the rest who gathered back to the living room.

I swipe my hand away from Chanyeol, but was swooped into a tighter embrace. "Heh, look all you want. At such a critical situation, it's only best for me to spoil her at least this much, right? Now shoo! I'll call you when I need something." Chanyeol then starts swatting his hand in midair, forcing them to leave with a hard grin on their faces. And for just a little bit, without realization, this side of Chanyeol seems to be what I need the most.

...

Backyard, Vegetable Garden.

I watch as Chanyeol water the carrots diligently, almost as if intrigued that this is how food is made. I stood up, handing him a freshly picked tomato from the side. "What, for me?" I nod, placing it on his other free hand. "All the vegetables here in the garden are always fresh and pest free, that's why Eomma's cooking is the best as well."
