Early Morning, Monday. Yonsei University, Platinum Room. Eun Hee's POV.
"Wow! Look at all the freshmen students! Wa, it was just like yesterday that it was Winter Break, and now a new term has started. Strangely, it feels strange, hahaha." I squeak aloud. Half of the members gather behind me to see the sight from the west window pane. Lay lets out a short whistle, "That is a lot, and I bet that half of the new population has an older sibling studying here as well." "Staring at them reminds me when I first entered Yonsei!" said Xiumin, daydreaming about his past.
Curious, I asked more into it. "I want to hear what happened, Xiumin." Chen lets out a laugh, messing up Xiumin's hair. "Ahh, if you saw what he was like before he turned this cute, you'd probably turn to look the other way." I tilt my head, staring at Xiumin who had a disappointed look on his face. "Are you guys talking about the very first Xiumin?" It was Kyungsoo, seemingly interested with the topic at hand.
"Ahh! Please don't do this, Chen! I hate having to recall that personality!" says Xiumin, hiding with both his hands covering his face. Chen pinches Xiumin's cheeks, "You were the one who started reminiscing about the past. Besides, Eun Hee wants to know what you were like before. She personally asked!" Xiumin stares at me with puppy eyes, and then looks away with a matching sigh.
Chen proceeds to tell the entire story, "You see, before Xiumin become this lovable baozi. He was actually a pretty scary deliquent. Not in a way that he messes up with the school uniform, or even tramples on the school rules. Rather, he was a deliquent for trampling on people's confidence when he finds out that they've got low scores in a test."
My eyes buldge open, glancing back at Xiumin who was covering his eyes and ears. "Ah yes, now I remember. Was that the time where quarter of the class tried to overthrow Xiumin but they ended up transferring to another University?" spoke Kyungsoo, trying to recall. "I-Is this all true? Did this cute pork bun really do those things before?" I spoke, trying to calm my nerves.
Kyungsoo made one nod, "The reason why Xiumin changed to who he is now is all because of Chen. Long story short, Chen won't stop bugging Xiumin and trying to be friendly that Xiumin somehow altered his personality and made him into this lovable freak we know today." I stare at both the comedic duo, swarming them with a fat embrace. "I seriously ship you guys. Please don't ever leave each other's sides, okay?"
They didn't know what I just said, but returned the embrace anyway. I pull my embrace back, "Speaking of, did anyone in the Platinum room get to do the speech for the opening ceremony?" Chanyeol, in the middle of checking Platinum work, answers back to me. "In this group, none were chosen by the dean. And as far as we know, not even the group of Jongin." I stare back at the window, amazed. "Wow, then the one that must have been chosen must be really intelligent, huh." Kyungsoo lets out a brief chuckle, "All the more reasons to actually watch the opening ceremony."
"Eun Hee is right though. It's amazing how a normal student was actually able to surpass the Dean's nightmarish test. Because from what I know, it's usually just one of the Platinum members who gets chosen." Spoke Lay from afar, almost surprising since he could hear us from afar.
Suddenly, in comes Kai with the rest of his group behind him. I watch as Chanyeol turns his way to Kai's direction. "How is the preparation with the freshment students?" gibbers Chanyeol.
Kai welcomes himself in, "2/3 of the students are now seated in the gymnasium, while all the sponsors are being shown their seats. I'd say it's best if we all went on ahead to let the opening ceremony begin." Chanyeol packs up the stacked paperworks, setting it aside with the help of Lay. "Alright, let's go guys."
I followed behind the rest of the members who walked big steps, but soon stop to a halt. I grab onto Kyungsoo's sleeve, "Say, Kyungsoo.."
He turns back, "Hmm, what is it, Eun Hee?" I stare at him strangely, "I know this is weird of me to say, but, has the Platinum and the Gold members always been this close..? I mean, it wasn't that long when the roles were reversed and I feel strange that I might've missed something. It feels as if, I have just woken up from a long dream...or something like that."
