Early Evening. Platinum Bedroom. Eun Hee's POV.
As soon as the stylist sprayed the last curly locks of my hair, he lowers his head just beside my side. "You look very stunning, Platinum. I'm sure the boys will go wild when they see you." I turn deep red, staring at what looks like a real life princess at the mirror. I hear three knocks before the stylist's assistant opens it slightly. "Is she done already~? There are a lot of guests now! Chanyeol said that he wants to start now!" "S-Stupid! I never said anything like that!" Chanyeol and Tao continue to bicker at one another at the hallway, making me nervous at how'd they react to my image now.
The stylist puts up a smirk, "Before anything else, here, wear this." He hands me a smooth case that carries a set of dazzling earrings. I raise one up in front of me, enticed by its spectacular features. "That has been worn in every Platinum Birthday Ball. It's more or less like a tradition, your Platinum leader handed it over to me before and explained that I should make you brighter than the moon itself. Hah, how romantic of him, huh." He spoke, packing up his make-up kit.
I lock the last earring in place, feeling like royalty. I stood from my make-up stool and went straight to the loud ruckus outside my room. The moment I stepped out, I find six of my members in dashing black suits, their neckties remain the same, but even so, they look even more handsome tonight. They react the same as what I did.
"You're, wow, you're really beautiful Eun Hee!" said Kyungsoo, taking the first compliment. "Yeah! You really looks beautiful, especially wearing that dress." said Chen, high fiving Xiumin who bought the dress together. Lay steps closer to where I stand, admiring the earrings, feeling a bit of his slender fingers touch the skin of my ear.
"My, my. Seems you've silenced our dear Platinum leader so well." whispered Lay before he joins the rest of the members forming a straight line. I dart my attention to Chanyeol who had no words of my outcome. He takes tiny steps forward, softly touching my cheek with such gentle eyes. I thought I was going to get sucked into it when suddenly, Kyungsoo blurts a laugh.
Chanyeol's face brightens red as a tomato, pulling me back with both his hands on my shoulder. "G-God damn it, Kyungsoo!" The members continue to laugh at his reaction, seeing Chanyeol like this made me remember the confession he spoke last night. And yet, I feel kind of happy knowing that he didn't get affected with what I said, and continue to act like nothing happened between us.
He pretentiously cough, placing his arm out for me to hang onto. "Shall we?" Without hesitation, I securely hang onto his arm, walking to where the staircase was found. From there, I see a sea of blue lights and glitters.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to present to you all the 10th Platinum of Yonsei University, Jong Eun Hee!" The speaker ends his short-lived speech, having both Chanyeol and I get hit by a spotlight with instrumental music now playing in the background. Chanyeol led me down, considerate of how slow I walked 'cause of the flowing dress that I may trip.
From the moment we previewed ourselves to the visitors present tonight till the last steps of the grand staircase, his tender grip remains constant. The spotlight dies out as soon as we reach the ground, "Not bad, Eun Hee. You've clearly stood out from everyone, worthy enough to be the Platinum." says Chanyeol, rubbing my left shoulder with his thumb.
I make a bashful face, "I don't think I could last the whole night being stared at.." He bends down to meet my lowered gaze, "But you're so beautiful, even I find myself enticed." I turn even red than before, placing both my hands on his face to stop from staring me when an interruption comes along. "Eun Hee, your personal guests are here." It was Kai, wearing a fashionable suit with a gold tie around his neck.
