Chapter 1 : Kai Oppa

"Cheers!" said everbody simultaneously, raising their drinks in the air.

"Omo! You're finally leaving Busan for your dream school in Seoul, Eun Hee-yah." says Jin-ah sounding off a more miserable tone.

"Yeah. You'll be leaving us behind, Eun Hee-ah! I'm pretty sure you'll replace us with rich friends there." says Ami.

"What are you talking about, guys! Of course I'm not leaving you all behind! And what rich friends? I plan to study not to enjoy you know!" I embrace them tightly.

"Exactly. That's the thing I wanted to hear from you." says a familiar voice from behind. I turn to find Jihoon wearing his usual smirk.

"What took you so long! We've done the cheers already!" angers Ami, her arms crossed in front of her chest.

"Sorry, sorry. The lady took a while to wrap the cake." He raises up the cake from my favorite baker. "Omo! Is that my--"

"Yep. Your favorite cake from your favorite cake shop." says Jihoon, a smile prevailing in his face.

"But wasn't that bake shop far? One hour trip right?" baffles Jin-ah.

"Well since it's a going away party, then might as well buy it no matter what, right?" answers Jihoon.

I quickly hug him. "You're really the best, you know that Jihoon? I wouldn't know what I'll do without you." I felt his hand reassuringly pat my head.

"Well enough of that. Let's go party before Aunt Mina picks up Eun Hee." hypes Ami, reusing the confetti on the floor.

My name is Jong, Eun Hee. Today is my farewell party for Seoul. I'm spending the last minutes here in Busan with my friends because I will be studying in Yonsei University from now on. It was always my dream to study there together with Kai, my step-brother, who swore to meet me one day in that school. That's the reason why I made this school my goal, to reunite with him again.

These three friends of mine; Jin-ah, Ami and Jihoon. They are my bestest friends that helped me get thru grade school, highschool and till now. It saddens me to leave them behind to meet Kai, but what I love about them is that they understand the reason why I have to.

Just wait for me, Kai. I'll meet you soon.

"Do you have everything you need? Toothbrush? Wallet? Extra panties?" says Eomma, running rampant to re-check if I did forget something.

"Eomma! Don't say such things in front of my friends. It's embarassing!" I said, hiding my reddish cheeks.

"Aigo! They're practically your own siblings. Anyway, always take care and don't forget to send my greetings to Uncle. Okay?" says mom, kissing me for the last time on the forehead.

After breaking away from mom's embrace, a sudden force comes from behind. It was Ami and Jin-ah giving me a glomp from behind. "Goodluck with the University! Don't forget to email us once in a while!"

"I know, I know." I said as I return the hug.

"Eun Hee-ah." starts Jihoon from behind me, as always.

I spun around to see him flashing a photo frame of the four of us smiling happily, "If you need someone to talk to then, always remember I'm here for you, alright?"

In the end, I finally show a teary smile. "You guys really love to see me cry, don't you. I'm going to miss all you, seriously." I said as I gave them one final embrace before entering the car.

I watch them as the car motions forward, slowly distancing away from my house. Making all of them disappear out of sight as we go downhill. I narrow my eyes down to my hands.
