A week has passed since the fieldtrip, and the second term has already taken it's progress. After finding about Kai's secret help of doing my English thesis, I thought that things started to change between us, but I was wrong, he still treats me the same as what he usually does.
I seriously don't know why he hates my whole existence so much. And I don't think I'd be hearing his reasons any time soon.
Lunch Time. Cafeteria.
"Tada!" Both Xiumin and Chen opens a box of chocolate muffins. "Aigo. You guys.." I whine as I tightly pull them in an embrace.
"Try it, Eun Hee. It's really good. We baked it ourselves." sparkles Xiumin, handing me one chocolate muffin. I accepted it and took a big bite at the side. The more I chew, the more I felt my life starting to diminish. It was the worst muffins I've ever eaten in my entire life.
I tried my best not to put up a bitter look on my face, rather, try to splurt it out my mouth. Their faces were highly curious of what I felt about what they baked. I place all my energy into smiling at them, "I-It's great. I've never tasted such chocolate muffins like this before. I'm serious."
Xiumin scratches his head, "Omo? Chocolate? It was suppose to be strawberry though."
My eyes widen even more, T-Then this must be burnt then! How can they not see something so unedible right away?! "Well as long as Eun Hee-ah likes it. Then we succeeded!" says Chen.
Both of them high fived each other, I'm surprise I was able to swallow something so unedible that even the rats won't eat. But I guess this is how friendships work.
"I'm surprise though. I thought Baekhyun was suppose to stand guard whenever you eat lunch with us?" ask Chen, looking around the vicinity.
"Oh that. Baekhyun was asked to do an errand today. So he's not in the Platinum room right now. It's only for today so you'll probably see him tomorrow."
"Really? That's great! Then you could have Baekhyun's share of muffin--" "It's f-fine! One box is enough for me, really." I said through my grin. Baekhyun, you're so lucky you don't have to suffer the way I am right now.
Unfortunately, it seems that Xiumin and Chen ends their Lunch earlier than the last schedule. And since I don't have such things as schedules, I was free to loiter around.
Before I started off back to the Platinum room, I find Chanyeol sleeping out under the tree shade out the window, his face was occupied with what looks like his Trigonometry book. I blink thrice as I saunter my way to his side.
"Are you asleep?" I ask, poking his abdomen. "Oh. How flat." I snicker as I poke it even more.
He rises up with an unamuse look, "Yah! Not you too." His eyes twitches. I tilt my head to the side, "What do you mean by that?" He shakes his head, fixing his side hair, "Ayaya. Whatever. What do you want? And what's with you talking to me all of a sudden? I thought that Jongin guy said not to talk to me."
I pout as I take a sit in front of him, "I just came here to say thanks, for what you did back in Japan. So here's my payment." I flash him a two layered snackbox. He examines it for a while, laughing, "Oh. I'm sorry. I'm not suppose to eat commoner food. I'm kind of allergic to them." He said innocently.
"A-Allergic? How is that even possible.." I mutter as I watch him examine the food in disgust. I snatch it away from his hands, "Fine then. So much for waking up early to make this!"
His eyes widen as he snatches it back in his hands, "Y-Yah! I didn't say that I won't eat it. Besides, I might even consider making your cooking an exception to my allergies." He smiles proudly. I twitch an eye as I watch him stuff himself with the packed lunch.
