Chapter 75 : Dean's Office

Midnight. Parlour Room. Chanyeol's POV.

"Here you go, Chanyeol." I receive the cup of warm tea from Kyungsoo who made one for each one of us, except for Eun Hee who was fast asleep in our bedroom. I take in the soothing aroma of the tea in my system, eyeing the members who sloppily drag themselves to the L-shaped couch as they give out big yawns out their mouth.

I place the cup down the nearest coffee table, prompting to sit upright. "I'm sorry that I have to wake you guys up in the middle of the night, but I think it's better to discuss this matter without Eun Hee around." Lay wipes his drowsy eyes to open, grumbling words out his mouth. "Uhh.. And why is that you chose to do it at this late hour, and at the same day we got back from Busan, you know, a two hour trip."

I couldn't help but snort out a laugh, pouring a bit of alcohol in my tea. Kyungsoo grabs hold of my arm, staring at me with punishing eyes. "Yah, I thought you said you're abstaining from drinking any alcohol." I ease up Kyungsoo's hand away, plastering a smile smirk as I cover up the small bottle of alcohol away and still end up drinking the mixed tea.

"Chanyeol.. I can't help but notice it but, did you and Eun Hee fight?" says Xiumin, speaking up with his teddy bear around his arms. I silently make eye-to-eye contact till he flushed red, hiding his face with his stuffed bear. "..Before we get into that matter, I'd like to tell you all that Jongin had said to me last night."

"Last night? You mean you talked to Jongin before you called us in to go in Eun Hee's house?" ask Tao, both his arms rested on top of the couch's arm. I plainly nod, leaning back. "You see, it appears that the dean and Jongin are actually in bad terms with one another. What he had said to me might just be a lie, but I will tell you all anyway.. The dean had once loved Jongin's Mother."

"Wait, what?!" "Whoa, are.. are you for real? Like is this all true?" "Y-Yeah, doesn't this sound more like a lie?!" Kyungsoo who now sat beside me shushed them. I continue on with my explanation, "That's the reason why dean has been apparently giving Jongin a very difficult time when he was still the Platinum leader.." I trail off to take a sip off my tea.

"Wait.. What's this got to do with Eun Hee? I don't see how she fits in this picture at all.." spoke Chen whose eyebrows met midway. "Well as we all know, Eun Hee is Jongin's step-sister. That would probably mean that Ms. Jong is in a relationship with Jongin's father. Truth be told, I'm too confused to understand an inch of what's happening between the two.."

"So you mean to tell us that.. that the dean is targeting Eun Hee 'cause she's the 'step-sister' of Jongin?" says Lay as a matter-of-factly. "Wait, but that still doesn't make sense as to why Jongin would be so upset about this whole thing. From what I remember, doesn't Jongin hate Eun Hee?" says Xiumin, a bit upset just saying the word hate beside Eun Hee's name.

I clench my fist just hidden from their sight, "Jongin also told me that.. all his actions was to protect Eun Hee. Believe it or not, he explained that he did all those horrible things to Eun Hee so that he could forcefully send her back to Busan, far away from the dean to harm her. By now you guys must be thinking why Jongin did all those stuff instead of telling Eun Hee face up, well, with his own words he said that he didn't want to involve Eun Hee into something even he can't face on his own." "W-Well did he at least say what he can't face with the dean? I know that he is Jongin's uncle but--"

"He is not Jongin's uncle." "W-What?!" They simultaneously yell, losing every bit of sleepiness in their heads. "Don't get me wrong. I still don't know if this is true or not, but if it is, then that must mean that Jongin is still hiding things away from other people, probably even his own members. I would know since he spoke harshly how little I know of the situation on hand, making me think that Jongin knows the situation better than I do that's why.. that's why I had no other choice but to break things off with Eun Hee."
