Kaarina observed her reflection with a critical eye. This had to be perfect. Or so she thought. It was obvious that Achilles was going to bring her to some fancy restaurant. He did say to dress formally.

It wasn't like she had never gone to some fancy restaurant before. She had gone to plenty with friends and her family. She did go to a private school that had trips just for those things.

This was somehow different. Kaarina shook her head at how foolish and clichè that sounded. Of course it would be different. She never did dating. The dating scene was something she avoided at all costs. Her father did make that quite easy since he was always strict and her protector. Just how a father should be, she thought with a smile on her lips.

It use to trouble her since she was a girl who loved her privacy. She always wanted to hold on to as many things as possible that was a mystery to others. Kaarina loved that feeling that she didn't care if people thought she was a freak, weirdo or masculine. She was herself.

As Kaarina turned around to look at her rear view, she wondered if she should trade the dress for another more conservative one. She did have at least five formal dresses stashed away. She just didn't know if they were still in style, but how much different could they change the style of a formal dress? It was just dinner. It wasn't like she was meeting his family or anything. So why was she so freaking nervous?

Probably the call she made to him earlier was misplaced. What she should have asked was, why he did buy her dress? Did he not think she was capable of dressing appropriately? Kaarina shook her head once more. There was definitely something going on with her life.

Suddenly this guy, who was still pretty much a mystery to her, had jumped into her life. Just when she thought she wouldn't see him again, she saw him at her restaurant. To make it worse he had followed her down the basement. Did he know how terribly irresistible he was in a suit? There was no doubt she would be a stuttering fool. Especially when he kissed her.

Kaarina touched her lips unconsciously, closing her eyes. It was as if she was reliving it.

Her eyes then snapped open at a soft knock at the door. She looked at the slit at the side of the royal blue knee length dress and exposed back before nodding her head. He was probably there already. He said less than half an hour and she was there thinking about him. The dress would have to do for tonight. It was Friday after all. When last did she take a break? She still didn't understand why she had taken a risk and accepted his invitation. Probably it was the fact that her senses were still in a swirl from his kiss or that her only thought was kissing him again. Yes, that was it! She should...

"Come in," she called out in mid thought. She was overthinking again. In high school, they did call her the analyzer.

As expected, Kaarina's mother poked her head through the slightly open door. She smiled seeing her daughter in heels. She just couldn't help it. Kaarina tilted her head, a sign that she was confused. Her black curls was almost like a jumbled up waterfall at her side, the black locks shining brightly despite the dull lighting.

"He is here," her mother stated in a monotone and Kaarina felt her heart beating wildly. He was here!

"Okay," Kaarina said trying to walk in the killer heels she had to wear to suit the expensive dress. She felt like a doll, but still went with the flow as she grabbed her small purse and walked pass her mother.

Trailing behind her, Kaarina's mom strolled noiselessly as Kaarina made her way to the door. Peeking out the tinted window, Kaarina saw the sleek design of what she presumed to be a Bugatti. Weren't those vehicles crazy fast? She hoped he didn't want to go for a joy ride for that was not in her plans for the evening. And she knew that she could not say no to him if he asked. Yep, she was screwed.
