The song is Fool for you by Zayn.

Achilles couldn't understand why he had just said all of that. It was laying him bare and obviously vulnerable. She made it quite clear she didn't think of being him in anyway.

She never struck him as the type of woman for a one-stand, he definitely  had his handful of those type of women, but he was now second guessing a lot of things between them. Was he too forward? Should he back off? Was this karma biting him in the butt? Or was he just assuming too much?

This whole thing was confusing. And it made him feel out of control. He had no problem letting go of the reins sometimes, but not for long and it never ever left him confused. He knew exactly what was and would be happening.

She glanced up at him, her eyes wide and filled with surprise. Achilles frowned, wondering why she would be surprised.

"I-I..." She runs a hand through her hair and Achilles gripped the steering wheel harder that he could hear a faint crack. That probably could damage his hand, yet it only fueled his anger for some particular reason.

He wasn't sure why he was angry anyways. He was the one who assumed too much. There was no taking back of his words, but he didn't want to hide anything back. He had seen it first hand how not coming out clear with feelings could destroy relationships. But by the look of things, he was finding out that being honest could also cause relationships to be destroyed. There was just no way to go around.

Achilles shook his head at that. There was always a way around everything. And if he was the only one who felt that way, it just proved that he should end things as they were. No matter how painful.

He didn't want to lose Kaarina though. There was this attachment towards her that he found to be absolutely addictive. Her scent. Her smile. Her slight Spanish accent. Her heart melting eyes. Even her bold walk. All deadly assets that attracted him and drew him in with a force that could possibly kill him.

But that wasn't just it. He also felt the need to be around her and he tried to be better. To do better. He was trying to shed that cold shell of his that he carried from conference rooms and board meetings. He wanted to be better for her.

"Achilles..." He felt her small hand on his arm, bringing his attention back to the present. He realized he was driving a little too fast and eased his foot off the gas pedal for a moment. He then found himself stopping near the restaurant. He turned to Kaarina, trying not to convey any sign of anger, exasperation, frustration and all the emotions crashing through him that he couldn't name. "I really, really like you. My feelings are a mess and I am still trying to put the puzzles together of what I do feel about you. I never thought it would be possible to see the guy I have had a crush on almost my entire life again..."

Achilles narrowed his eyes at her and she visibly flinched, taking her hand away. The warm heat of her skin on his quickly faded, but it was burnt in his mind.

She unbuckled her seatbelt and twisted in her seat to look at him. Achilles just kept staring at the road. Why did he have to say that? He really wanted to bang his head against a wall or something. When did he lose his sanity?

"We can't have this conversation now," she said and placed her hand on his biceps, causing him to turn and look at her. She inhaled sharply and Achilles couldn't help but glance down at her now quite larger bosom. He had done it very quickly that not even Kaarina was aware of it. It was that much of an instinct of his which he didn't know he had until then. He was very much acute to everything Kaarina Kaleb. Her tiny birthmark behind her left ear. "Not like this. I have to go to work."
