"Who is she?" Kaarina asked as she shut the bathroom door behind her. She also wetted another towel and helped him wipe out the stain in his shirt. One of the girls had barreled through and threw some ice-cream at James that splattered on to Achilles shirt. Thankfully, she along with the others had seen it coming to jump away. Those kids always found something unsatisfactory and decided to make a mess to prove it. "I told you to bring a extra shirt."

"It's ice-cream," he said with an eye roll. "How hard can it be to take out?"

"Stop avoiding the question dammit," she seethed throwing down the towel in frustration. "Who is she?"

He sighed moving to sit down on the toilet seat. He rested his head in his hands, the wet spits in his shirt sticking to his abs. Why was she turned on just by that? Could she not think of anything but sex around this guy, even in these conditions? She really needed to have both her hormones and her brain checked out. Although it seemed unlikely that any physician could help her with any results.

"She's Katherine Lathe," he answered with a sigh. "And she's a pain in the arse."

"What?" Confusion was written all over her face.

"She's my father's ex-wife," he said and Kaarina slowly let out a breath of relief. "And my ex-fiancé."

She choked on her saliva on that one. Then started coughing and Achilles ran to her aid. She finally calmed down with tears in her eyes.

"So you never thought to mention this before?" She asked, coughing one more time before continuing. ¡Dios mio! She felt as if she was dying. Couldn't he have given her a warning? "And how did that happen? Your stepmother and ex-fiancé?"

"Correction, former stepmother," he pointed out and Kaarina rolled her eyes. That was not the point. "Anyways, what about this James guy of yours? No heads up on that one? Especially since he is apparently the family friend."

"Okay, he was not a family friend. My aunt apparently invited him because of some stupid business deal," she practically shouted before lowering her voice. She resorted to poking him in the chest. "Besides he isn't anything to me. We never did anything for it to ever mean anything. It was just a rebellious act to get my mother and father riled up since no one approved of him, especially those out there. Unlike you, you and that Kate girl have some serious unfinished business."

He grabbed her wrist at that.

"The only unfinished business we have is for her to be out of my life," he told her, his face only a couple inches from hers. His warm breath swept over her senses, crisp and sweet like champagne. Gush...she wanted to hold him down and do other things plus kissing. Was that so wrong? "But you seemed to be having a problem with your boyfriend in high school. Every time he looks your way you tense up, now tell me if the fact that he affects you so much doesn't indicate that you are the one with unfinished business."

Her mother's voice was heard echoing through the house at that moment.

"Kaarina could you come and make that famous potato salad for us?" Her mother asked, loud and clear. "If the stain can't come out of his shirt, be can look down into the master bedroom for one of your uncle's shirt. They might be snug since Achilles is so muscular but it will fit."

"Thanks mom!" Kaarina called out before turning to her boyfriend once again. "Well, you got that all wrong, since I could never know what trouble he would cause for he was always a lose canon and I didn't want anything major to happen. But you wouldn't notice that because you have trust issues."

"Darling, you have it all wrong since I was never the one who second guess this relationship in the beginning," he stated. "And didn't trust one's feelings for this between us to move forward."
