Achilles was surprised that they took so long to call him. Everyday held its different challenges and he was shocked, to say the least, that his management handled some of those challenges earlier in the morning. They didn't do a bad job either in his opinion.

"Sir, I know you were supposed to take the day off, but things were very busy," his chairman, Ben told him when he stepped inside of the building. "And then she showed up and I really don't know how to handle it, sir. I am deeply upset with this manner and I apologize for letting this happen."

"It's okay," Achilles gave his chairman and assistant manager for the Human resources department a reassuring smile with a pat on the back before entering the elevator. The chubby man's eyes rounded and seemed that they were going to pop out of his head. Achilles then realized he wasn't always this smiling and this pleasant, especially about work. He was really in a good mood and he wondered if it was because of that caramel eyed Spanish woman. "I wouldn't feel good if I wasn't needed."

Achilles prepped himself for letting his good mood vanish since he knew that the woman waiting in his office was, as always, going to ensure he was miserable. It was a waste of time of course, but he would see what she wanted. She was of course his stepmother.

"Baby!" She squealed as he stepped inside his office and she threw herself at him. He quickly side stepped her, but pushed a hand out in time to grip her hand so she wouldn't fall.

She held on to his bicep for balance before turning on a glare his way. He immediately released her and her eyes narrowed into slits.

"I could have fallen," she exclaimed just as he saw Sean open the office door and close it back as soon as he saw the she-demon.

"But you didn't." Achilles said passively, his face a blank sheet.

"I could have," she stated impatiently, clearly agree with his logic.

"Yet you didn't," he continued in the same monotone voice. "Why are you here?"

"Oh dear," she looked up at him with a smile and reached out to put a well manicured hand on his arm. He stepped back before she could make contact and she immediately pushed out her bottom lip in a pout that would stir a living, breathing man's groin, despite his sexuality. Achilles didn't feel anything. He just folded his arms across his chest and gave her a cold look. "Is that anyway to treat your father's beloved wife?"

"You mean ex-wife?" Achilles fought back a yawn and he could see her face turn a shade of pink. She was definitely angry with him now, but he couldn't care less. It wasn't like she could hurt him.

She seemed hurt at that, but Achilles knew she was not capable of being hurt. She was too cold for that. He knew that by experience and he wasn't going to allow his chivalry to kick, no matter how much he was a gentleman. Although it took a lot since he had enough chivalry to drown Jupiter and Earth in.

"That silly separation is nothing," she waved it off before spinning around on her heels and swayed to a couch in his office, looking over the busy streets of New York City and its horizon. "We will be back together in no time."

She gave him a confident smile as she crossed her legs, etching up her red dress higher. He lifted an eyebrow in pure boredom. Her smile faltered at that and he moved towards his desk.

"Are you saying that because you signed a prenup which even your best lawyer couldn't find any loopholes in?" She gave him a dark look and he knew that was a look he should be concerned about. He knew she slept around with enough influential and criminal men to know she had a lot of links. She could pose a threat. He stared back at her, an air of cockiness surrounding him. If his instincts were right, she wouldn't dare try to touch him. And his instincts were always right. "Or are you worried your reputation would crash with that divorce? But either way, you are wasting my time since that is none of my concern. Now leave my property."
