A month later...

"I still don't see why we had to rush the wedding," her mother commented as she helped Kaarina in her dress. "You guys have forever to be married."

"Mom," Kaarina patronized as her mother finished zipping her up. "He wanted to marry as soon as possible and I wanted a big wedding. It had to be rushed. There is no other way around it."

"Then why is he in a rush for me to give away my baby? Is he planning to die or something?" her mother whined and Kaarina rolled her eyes as her mother tugged down her dress a little. "Turn around."

"Mom, people never really know when they'll die-"

Kaarina stopped mid sentence. She couldn't believe that it was her reflection she was seeing in the mirror. Sure she saw her made up face and hairdo, but all that with the dress, the dress she fell in love with online because the designer couldn't make it to America for some time, she looked utterly flawless. Big fat tears rolled down her cheeks and her mother came up to her side with a tissue.

"You look beautiful dear," her mother said, quite grateful the makeup artist was adamant on using all water resistant make up. "You always have."

"Mom, what happens when he sees me today and love the person I am today, but doesn't love the person I am tomorrow?" Kaarina asked suddenly feeling frightened and scared. She loved Achilles, that much was clear, but was love ever enough?

Her mind then went to his proposal exactly a month ago.

“From the day I met you I knew you were the one,” he said looking up at her and Kaarina was struck with how handsome he was once again. They would make some great babies together. Even if she wasn't all that beautiful as he always made her feel. “Not sure if you were the one to send me to prison or save my life,” she laughed at that and he grinned. “But I know now that you are the only One and not seeing your smile, not being your shoulder to lean on and not being the you rear your stubborn head almost damn near killed me. A death that was so much different from the slaying your beauty does to me, inside and out. And now, I want it to be legally done so the entire world knows you’re my forever,” somehow, Kaarina could hear music playing and her heart expanded more. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she didn't even realize. “Kaarina Roselaind Kaleb, my KRK, will you marry me, the one whose heart you hold in the palm of your hand?”

Well when you phrase it like that…

Kaarina sank down on her knees in front of him as well, throwing herself in his arms. Of course being how imperfect her life was, her heels caught on the table cloth and brought everything down. And the next she knew, his hundred thousand dollar suit and her fifty thousand dollar gown were both wet with ice, water and champagne. When the last glass was broken, she leaned back to look in his eyes.

“Sorry about that...I mean, yes, yes I will marry you,” she squealed as he slipped the heavy ring on her ring finger. Damn, was it big! “But if that was your idea of dessert, we need to talk. I love my chocolate.”

He laughed. “I really do hope I’m that chocolate,” he said licking her nose which she scrunched up in that adorable way of hers.

“I don't know,” she teased, pretending to be thinking through it. “I kind of prefer chocolate than you in wet clothes right now.”

“Well, how would you like it if I am wet and naked,” she hit him in the chest at that, her cheeks flaming up to a bright red.

A cough sounded and they both realized that the waiter and a cleaning lady was there cleaning the mess that she had created. She buried her face in the crook of his neck. Achilles could feel the warmth from her enflamed body through his wet suit. He groaned at the stirring of his libido in his pants with her entire body pressed up against. Was she even wearing a bra under this dress? He swore he could feel her hard nipples against his chest.
