I answer the phone with butterflies in my stomach. It's been a while since I've had a good acting job and I'm way beyond nervous and excited at the same time.

"Hello?" I answer the phone.

"Hey, Lex." My agent answers. Thankfully, we've managed to hold a close relationship throughout the years, which is comforting in this lonely city. "Like I said, I got you a really well paying gig."

"What is it?" I eagerly ask her.

"It's a bit of a strange one, but they're offering to pay you five hundred per day." She informs me and my jaw drops. Five hundred?! Per day?! What the hell?

"No way." I respond, trying to close my open mouth. "What is it?" I ask her again, even more eager to know now.

"Well, there's this boyband called The Vamps, I don't know if you've heard of them?" She asks me and I nod along with her even though she can't see me. I vaguely recall hearing the name before somewhere but I couldn't place a single song. "Well there's been a scandal in the papers about two of the members, and their management are asking for PR girlfriends."

My muscles tense up at the proposition. Is that what I'm supposed to do? Be someone's fake girlfriend? I don't know how I feel about that.

"So, I landed you the lead singer." She proudly tells me as if that's supposed to mean something to me. "You'd have to pretend to be his girlfriend in public. You wouldn't have to kiss him or anything, it's all very planned out scenarios for press. It's just another acting job." She tries to convince me and I take a second to think about it.

I really don't like the idea of having to pretend to be someone's girlfriend, especially some rich kid in a band. But a job is a job and this just happens to be an extremely well paying job. Not to mention the press I might get that could really boost my career. I can't let this opportunity go, I'm already behind on rent and the money from my part time job just isn't covering it. If I do this, I can spend more time on getting some better roles.

"Okay." I sigh down the phone. "I'll do it."

"Brilliant! This is going to be an amazing opportunity for you!" My agent cheers down the phone, probably because her cut will be huge. "Your publicity will go through the roof and more opportunities will open up for you, I promise. They want you to meet them at six thirty today, so you better get going." She tells me. "I'll text you all the details."

I'm used to the unscheduled meeting times for auditions that usually come with a giant panic. We say our goodbyes and hang up the phone. She texts me the address of the place along with some other finer details and I take a few deep breaths to calm my nerves. It's about an hour away from where I live and it's almost five already, so I immediately jump up from my bed and begin packing a few things into a backpack for the journey. Once I'm ready, I throw my shoes and a jacket on and leave my apartment. I put in my headphones and play my music as loud as possible as I make my way to the tube station. I hope this doesn't go as badly as I think it will.

I get on the tube and grab my phone out of my pocket as it buzzes.

*What you up to today?*

I smile and reply to him. I make sure not to mention my new acting job because I don't want to reveal that I lied about my job and if it goes badly, I really don't want to embarrass myself.

*Working as usual:( What about you?*

I sit and listen to my music blasting in my headphones before he replies.

*Me too:( Have to deal with an annoying girl today, not looking forward to it.*

I frown and reply to him.

*Why?*

*There's a new girl at work today and I can tell that she's going to be a bitch.*

My frown deepens as I reply to him. How can he assume that already?

*Just give her a chance, she probably won't be as bad as you think.*

My tube pulls up at its stop so I put my phone back in my pocket and make my way out of the tube station. I push past the suited bodies and make my way outside to call a taxi. I get in one that's waiting on the side of the road and tell the driver the address that my agent texted me. I look down at my phone to see I've received a text from the contact 'Dick Boy'. I smile at the name, I wonder when I started getting excited for his messages?

*I guess, I'll speak later. Going to be busy today.*
