Author's note: If you get queasy easily you might not want to read this one. I don't know. I may just over-exaggerate sometimes. But you have been warned none the less.

The dream was fuzzy and dark. It was glitching a little bit, kinda like in the video of the song "Die in a fire" by The Living Tombstone. It was hard to see. There was no light. Then an overhead lightbulb suddenly flashed on. Then I saw Eclipse. But there was a serious problem. What I saw scared me. It made me want to crawl into a corner and cry.

She was tied to a wooden chair, with a white gag that used to be around her mouth had now fallen loose around her neck. She didn't move. She had a knife in her heart. Blood was slowly staining her shirt. Even if it was just a dream, I could smell that scent of newly cut blood. I ran over to look but slammed into an invisible wall. I banged my fists against the wall yelling to Eclipse if she was okay. She obviously wasn't but I had to try. She was my friend.

Then another invisible force knocked me backwards into a wall that suddenly appeared. Pain flared in my back but I still tried to get up to get to Eclipse. A woman I knew all too well pushed me back down.

"Hello Leo Valdez. I would've thought you would have been smarter than to come back to life after defeating me." She smiled a cruel, sly smile.

"How are you back?" I gritted my teeth.

"Oh, before I was so rudely defeated by the likes of you, I took the liberty of raising my son Kronos back from the dead."

"How did you ever manage to do that?"

"Oh it was quite easy. The thought never occurred to you demigods that if I could raise any other monster or child of mine, that I couldn't bring back Kronos too?"

"Ugh. Well where is he? I don't-" I was cut off by a blonde kid walk behind the dead Eclipse. He had startling golden eyes. I was pretty sure that I had learned in Science class once, that if your eyes were yellow or gold, that usually meant that there was something wrong with them. I believed it with this guy.

"Hello." said who I assumed to be Kronos, given the situation. He looked about twenty-something.

He stood over Eclipse now.

"As you can see, he brought me back. And this time I wont be giving away any hints of plan. And also this time, when you die, you will stay dead. You don't have the Physicians cure anymore." she said. I officially couldn't move.

"What if I don't die?" I asked.

"Then your friend here will. That is, unless she makes the choice. Then we have other options." she laughed evilly. Kronos slowly pulled the knife out of her heart, making me wince at the pain she would be experiencing if she was still alive. But then there wouldn't be a knife. I had to remind myself that this was just a dream and Eclipse was still alive. There was blood dripping constantly off the side.

"What choice?"

"Oh, you'll see eventually, puny hero."

"Hey! This puny hero defeated you two years ago!" I shouted.

"Yes, well you didn't do a very good job of it if I'm here now. Besides, I would have come back eventually anyway. I am the earth. The mother of all living things. You can't kill me without destroying everything else." her wicked grin got wider.

"A nice knife, this is." Kronos was studying the knife with a cruel smile on his lips. "I remember the day this boy killed me with it. Ahh... Memories. I do think I should return it to the girl personally though. I'm sure she would love to see me once again."

"That's Annabeth's knife. You know her? And where did you find that? It fell into Tartarus a few years ago."

"I was in Tartarus. I found it on my way back up to earth. I thought it was obvious."

"So when you say you're going to return it to her, you mean you're going to kill her with it." Those monster-proof phones would have to come along a little faster.

"Shh. That's a secret." his arm with the knife suddenly jerked towards him. He didn't seem to be able to that arm at the moment. He dropped the knife and cursed under his breath. He was fighting for his own arm to obey him.

Gaea noticed and pulled something from the ground. It was a glass bottle with a glowing liquid that changed color from green to mauve.

"We will be back, Valdez." She broke it at their feet. I had no idea what it was but they teleported away somewhere.

As soon as they were gone, Eclipse's eyes shot open and she looked down at her chest. I tried to run to her and help her.  But I still couldn't move. She processed the fact that she had just been stabbed and there was blood all over her once white shirt. She still had a hole in her chest.

Then the pain finally kicked in. She let out an ear piercing scream. She thrashed around in her chair until it finally fell on its side. Her head hit the floor and the screaming stopped.

Then I woke up.

The first thing I saw was my clock. It read 8:01. I had set my alarm for 7:30. It hadn't went off! I rushed out of bed and ran to my drawers. I grabbed a random pair of clothes and quickly changed. I didn't have time to take a shower so I sped into the kitchen and looked through the cabinets to see if there was any quick and easy food I could eat on my way out the door. I found a banana and a poptart. I heated the poptart up in my hand. I had no use for things like ovens or microwaves or stoves. Luckily last night, after I had finished my homework, I put my bookbag next to the door. 8:05. I grabbed my keys and headed out out the door.
