I had a dream. In my dream I was in a dark underground room. I knew it was underground because the walls were made of dirt. I was barely able to see because it was so dark. Vines were creeping up the walls. They held my feet in place. I couldn't move anywhere else. Not that there was anywhere to go to. Then the dirt floor in front of me formed a woman. She appeared to be sleeping. And made of soil. There was a man beside her. He looked to be in his mid to early twenties. He had sandy blonde hair and looked really pissed off.

It was silent. I decided to break the silence. "Where am I? Why am I wherever I am?"

The dirt woman spoke. "You are in a room I have created just for this meeting. You are here because I need to speak with you about something important."

The vines crept farther up my legs. "Why am I not allowed to move?"

"The vines here are keeping you from continuing to your next dream." The man answered.

"But why? What's in my next dream that I can't see?"

"The choice you make here will determine your next dream." the woman spoke this time. These people were creepy. If I was normal I would be convinced this was all just a dream. But I had these kinds of dreams all the time. Strange dreams that all seemed to connect in some weird way. I never did understand them. Some I did. But most of them I didn't. Like this one.

"What next dream? You mean I'll have several all in this time that I'm unconscious?"

"Yes." they said in unison like this was a casual thing.

"Well okay then."

There was awkward silence again. Again, I was the one to break it. "So you mentioned some choice or something?" I asked.

"Yes. Your choice is that when the time comes, you can fight with me. Or, you can fight against me. It's all your choice, but if you fight against me, you may not come to a good ending. No pressure." she said.

"What do you mean fight with you?" the vines were up to my knees.

"In the future, there will be a fight. By fighting with me, you fight against the seven. And when you finish fighting them, they better be dead. By fighting against me, you fight with the seven. The seven are my enemies. If you fight with them, you will also die with them. Again, no pressure."

"If these seven you talk about so often are going to die either way, then why do you need me? What purpose so I have to this plan? What good would I do against seven other people?" I had a million questions.

"I need you because you are very powerful. You could be used in many different ways. To persuade, to fight, and so much more. You are different in many ways." she said, studying me.

"I get that a lot. And how do you know me?" I demanded.

"Oh, I know all about you. I've been watching you for a few years now. I know more about yourself than you know about yourself. I've seen everything. Even your past."

I cringed and looked away, scared and sad. "So you saw when and how my mom died didn't you."

"Yes. And I am so sorry that you have had to deal with that for the past two years. That you have had to lie to everyone about it. Your friends, your brothers. None of them truly know. But they will find out eventually."

"No. Not if I have anything to do with it." I said bravely.

"I think you mean, if I have anything to do with it. If you side with me, No one will ever know. I can make sure of it. But if you tell anyone, I have no control over it."

"What will happen if I do not decide to fight with you? What will happen then except for these seven and me dying?"

"Lots of others will die." she said like this was a normal conversation.

"But who? Who will die?" the vines were up to my waist. They had wrapped themselves around my legs completely.

"I can show you." she waved her hand and a wooded chair that looked like it came from my dining room appeared. Then people started showing up, tied to the chair.

Jace.

My little brother Daniel.

My little brother Alex.

My big brother Brandon. I was trying to hold back tears. I failed.

And finally Leo.

All my friends and family were going to die because of me if I didn't side with her. "How could you do this? How could you do this to innocent people? Innocent people that I care about?"

"Oh, I wouldn't be the one doing this to them." the next words that came out of her mouth were like poison. "You would." I winced. And for a second I was truly terrified. Terrified of what I would become if I didn't side with her. Terrified of what I would do.

"Now do we have a deal?" she asked me with a wicked smile on her dirt face.

I took a second. And I hated myself for hesitating. "Deal. I  will fight with you and kill the seven. I will do whatever it takes to keep the ones I care about safe."

She smiled even more wickedly. She put out a hand. "Then lets shake on it."

I put my hand in hers and we shook. She held her hand there, with mine still in it. She didn't let go until my hand started to burn. Literally burn. It felt like I was holding fire. I let go and looked at my hand. It was black and smoked. I screamed in pain.

She melted back into the earth with the strange man she was with. Then the vines started wrapping themselves around me even quicker. I struggled but it was no use. They came up to my shoulders as I started to scream. A leaf covered my mouth. The vines stopped growing in length then. Instead they grew thorns every inch or so apart. It may have been a dream, but I could still feel them digging into my skin. I looked down and saw blood between them. The hurtful part was, they were still growing past normal length. They were still growing longer. I couldn't scream. I couldn't move. Then the vines started pulling me into the ground. When my head went under, the dream changed.

I was in the room again, the vines and pain were both gone. The lady and man never came back. Only a mirror was there. It was me but it wasn't. I was me at first, with my weird eyes and multi-colored hair, then I started to change. My clothes changed until I was wearing all black. A black hoodie with the hood up, black jeans, black sneakers. Then my face changed. I became more pale. I had dark eyes. I looked like I hadn't slept in a few days, or a week. The scene behind me in the mirror changed as well even though the room I was actually in in the dream didn't. There were explosions, fire, dirt rising. Then I changed again. I had an evil smile like I enjoyed the destruction. The mirror disappeared in green mist.

A raspy old voice spoke in my head. The words it said echoed around inside me.

A new one who already knows

But the wrong decision she still chose

In the end she must face her past

Only one of the seven can bring her back

But if she comes not on her own

The earths wrath will be shown

Throughout the time she will change

Unless she acts on the unlucky day.

I fell back at the last word. I scooted back until I was sitting against the wall. I held my head in my hands. My brain hurt like someone or something was stabbing it. I had had migraines before, but not like this. It hurt so bad until I screamed. And then I woke up.
