I walked out of the hospital with a smile on my face, glad I was finally allowed to leave the smell of medicine and the blinding white walls behind me. Despite me being happy about this, I was nervous because Prom was tomorrow and I didn't have anything to wear or anything else planned except that Leo was my date and I still wasn't sure if it was a good idea, based on the circumstances.

My brothers were outside in the car, waiting for me. I saw Alex and Daniel's faces light up when they noticed me walking out of the building. Brandon noticed as well and drove up to the front to pick me up so I wouldn't have to walk through the parking lot to get to the car. I got in and they were all glad I was okay, even though they had visited me a thousand times in the few days I was in the hospital. Leo visited me yesterday and told me that he was sorry he couldn't see me out of the hospital, because of the drumming concert that had been moved from the original day to today due to a mix up with the place they would perform.

To my surprise, Jace was in the car as well.

I asked him why he was here and he said "They were giving me a ride to the tux shop, but they had to stop here to pick you up."

"Yeah, they didn't have to do that. I would've been fine driving myself." I replied.

"You just got out of the hospital, we didn't want you falling off your motorcycle and getting hurt again right after." Alex smiled back at me.

"Yeah, yeah. I haven't crashed that many times, I would've been just fine, but whatever. Thanks for picking me up anyways." I smiled back. "And Jace, why are you getting a tux? I didn't think you were the kind of person to go to Prom."

"Well I didn't go last year, so I wanted to go this year because everyone says it's a huge deal and that I'd be missing out if I didn't go, so why not go?" he shrugged, before mumbling something I didn't hear.

"What was that?" I asked.

"Nothing."

We drove for a while more, talking some before dropping Jace off at the tux shop near the mall.

As soon as he was out of the car, Brandon said "You know that's not the real reason why he's going to Prom."

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused. Jace didn't seem like he was lying about it, and I couldn't think of any other reason why he would go to Prom of all places.

"He's only going because you're going," Daniel smirked at me.

"What? Why would he go because of me?"

"Because he likes you, dummy!" Alex joined in.

"And he wants to see you in a dress," Brandon added.

I blushed and rolled my eyes at them. "He does not like me. We fight all the time."

Brandon kept driving to another place, but I was too focused on the conversation to see where we were going. "Which means he likes you. Take it from a guy, we tease the girls we like because we like them. Fighting is how y'all bond."

The car then stopped in front of a store that had tons of sparkly dresses. "Why did we stop?" I asked, trying to get off the topic of Jace having a crush on me because it was ridiculous.

"Well, you can't go to Prom without a dress," Alex said.

"And Melanie offered to help you since she needs one too." Daniel pointed out the window to the girl outside the shop, tapping her foot with her arms crossed, clearly annoyed.

"Oh great."

I got out of the car and walked to Melanie who exclaimed "Finally! I've been waiting forever for you, what took you so long?!"
