SUNNY
I pull out my house key to unlock the giant front doors of the house. When they're open, Double is sitting right there in the couch with her eyes glued on me. Damn. What is this? The opening to First 48?

"Suniya, where you been?" she ask. "I looked for you at lunch, and somebody said you left with Maxine Jenkins... S'That true?"

I roll my eyes. "Double, whether you like it or not, I don't have to answer to you. You not my daaaaaad!"

Summer slips in. "What are you two talking about?"

Double sighs. "There you are. Listen to this bull. Max and Sunny have been talking..."

"Oh, that's great!" Summer smiles. "MJ? My Max Jenkins?"

I nod and smirk. "Yea. We met when I was at the hospital. She's so sweet."

Summer laughs. "Of course she is. Gosh, she had such a rough life, but I think everything is okay now. Are yall dating?"

I shake my head. "No ma'am. No where near it! We just started back taking today, but let me tell you what she did." I went on to tell the whole story about how my period came on and the headache and the medicine and the stomach rubbing and her apartment.

"Sounds like a pure gentleman." She smacks Raylynn's head. "I wish someone would bring home a girl that they actually like!"

Double mumbles something under her breath. "I saw y'all out there kissing all over each fucking other."

Summer rolls her eyes. "Too late, now baby... So Sunny, what are you wearing on your date?"

"DATE?!" Double yells, standing up. "I didn't say you could go on any type of date! You gone let Max just up and take you on a date?"

I look at Double like she's retarded. "Uhm, you're not my girlfriend, and you never wanted to be, so you can't tell me what to do."

Aunt Tay stumbles in. "What's all of this about a date? I never said you could date ANYONE."

Double runs next to Tay. "Thank the Lord! Someone finally listens to me. We finally agree on something."

Summer looks at Tay. "She's a junior! You knew it was coming."

"Well, I don't know this girl!" she yells at me.

"I do," Summer vouches. "And so does Ray," she gestures towards the door post Ray is leaning on.

Ray shrugs. "Who am I supposed to know?"

Summer sighs. "Studs...." she drones with an eye roll. "My god daughter, Maxine. Little Maxy? You remember."

Ray nods. "Ohhh, MJ!" she smiles. "Yea, that's a cool lil cat right there. She can hoop her ass off."

Raylynn yells at Ray. "You've got to be kidding me right now!!! Yall are gonna side with Max?"

"Side?" I jump back in. "There's only one side. You lost your side privileges."

"Oweeeeeee," Miranda says as her and Mo walk in. "What'd you do?" she asks Raylynn.

Raylynn shrugs. "I told Sunny I didn't wanna date her."

Everybody does some form of a gasp...

Dee walks in. "Owe, nephew!" she says walking in the other door. "BIIIIIIG mistake!"

Raylynn shrugs. "I got hoes. I ain't worried about Sunny. She gone do what she want to do anyways. So fuck it."

"Watch your mouth, Raylynn Robinson! I raised you better than that!" Summer eyes Raylynn.
