Alex’s pov.
When we finally get over the initial shock of learning this new information, the questions finally start gushing out.
"What do you mean?" Asks Elliot.
"Why me?" Asks Soal.
"What are they going to do with this army?" Asks Tate.
"How do they transplant the DNA? Asks Noah.
"What's so special about these three people?" Asks Ash.
More questions start piling out but I yell for them to shut up when I see the pained look I'm Rain's face.
"I-I don't know." He whispers, still covering his ears.
"I'm sorry. I'm of no help to anybody. I'm useless. I'm so sorry." Tears start to accumulate in his eyes until they come bursting out. He just cries and cries until Soal goes over to comfort him.
She takes his chin in her fingers and forces him to look at her.
"Hey," she says softly.
"You are not useless. You were the biggest help out of all of us. We wouldn't know any of this if it weren't for you. Now listen to me. You are a beautiful person. Inside and out. Don't ever let anyone, not even yourself, tell you differently. You hear me?" He nods and looks back at the floor, his face as red as Gerard Way's hair. (Maybe not that red but, hey. You get the point.)
"Hey guys?" Asks Elliot.
"Why don't you just look in the file? I mean, it had Soal and Rain. Maybe it explains something."
"Huh. Didn't think of that." States Ash.
"I mean it went through my head but it's not my thought."
"Just look at the file."
I open the file and shoe each of them the papers.
"What does the poem thingy say?" Asks Ash.
"Here. I'll read it.”
“'Three special children, born of one
With power enough to resurrect the sun
For these three children, how ordinary they might seem
Have power bursting straight from the seems
Separately these children are mighty no ones
But put them together and the fun has begun
For whoever wields these three children at ease
Can change the world, for good or for bad.
And if these three children never do meet
This law goes the same through their whole legacy.'"
Silence.
"Well then." Says Elliot.
"That's interesting."
"What does it mean?" Asks Soal.
"Well it's called 'The Triplets of Power' so I'm gonna guess that the first line is about triplets. The second means you’re really powerful. They look like normal people, but they are actually are overflowing with power" I explain.
"Yeah. Yeah, ok. I got the first part. But what the heck is a mighty no one?" Asks Elliot.
"I was getting there. Anyways, 'separately these children are mighty no ones' probably that when you separate them, they're just random powerful people. Then if you bring them together, they have the power to change the world, whether it is for good or bad. Plus, they can be controlled, but not against their will. Finally, these three children are probably always separated at birth and they may or may not join back together. If they don't, they'll be reincarnated as another set of triplets. The cycle continues until they get together."
"So what are you saying? Are they two of the three?" Asks Noah.
I shrug and look through the folder again.
"Oh, look. There's a note here. It says 'Dear Mr. Beelzebub. I'm very sorry to report that your soldier has failed in retrieving all of the parts to the Prophecy of Three. I do hope he will be punished accordingly. I will work with what I have for now, but I do need the rest of the document in order to complete my research. Your business partner, X.'" I read.
"Hmm. Looks like there's more. Well maybe if we find it, we'll know for sure what's going on." Suggests Elliot.
Suddenly, both Soal and Rain scream out in pain and a scrunch into little balls on the floor, holding their heads.
"SOAL? SOAL! WHAT'S WRONG!" screams Noah.
"RAIN?" Screams Elliot.
A bulge of something is slowly protruding from their backs. As it grows larger and larger, it finally penetrates the fabric of their shirts and out pop a pair of wings. Soal's are silver with black and purple streaks while Rain's are black with purple and silver streaks.
What the heck just happened?
